My purpose in ordering these cheap spoons was so that I'd have something I could use when I didn't want to worry about washing dishes. These spoons are EXCELLENT for that purpose, and at a penny per spoon, I don't mind throwing them out if I don't wash them soon enough.

They would also be great for picnics. If your church is having a picnic to celebrate the start or end of the Sunday School year, these are great for that purpose.

The box says HEAVY DUTY. They may be Heavy Duty, but there are more expensive spoons that do not twist the way these do (when I deliberately twist them). But, that was perfectly fine with me, because I did not buy them for their heavy duty (alleged) feature.

These are great for the price. I highly recommend them to you.

I bought these for my elderly father so he can better eat soup. The edges are rough and too sharp to use, I won't even use them. I tried to use them for wet dog food in the can but they were so thin they bend and don't stir the dog food very well. I will not buy them again.

these spoons are not 'heavy duty', as it says in the listing & on the package. they are not 'medium weight' as it says, ambiguously, in the listing. i would describe these spoons as 'flimsy'. i regret my purchase.

The box says heavy duty, the Amazon page calls them Medium Weight, the truth is they are so flimsy that pretty much picking up a spoonful of anything gives you great pause that they won't fold right up. These are so cheap you can practically see through the "Heavy Weight" plastic. -- They are going back.

Really, these are quite disappointing indeed. They are much too pliable and bend very easily. They are of sufficient strength to adequately perform during the consumption of cottage cheese, pudding, cup of soup, and yogurt. However, the utmost caution must be exercised when using these to stir yogurt containing fruit on the bottom and sharply focused care is essential for even partial success. They have been found to be superb for stirring beverages such as tea, mixed drinks, or coffee. The failure rate when used for ice cream is extremely high, bordering on 98%, and frosty's and smoothies are similarly difficult to negotiate well. It should be made clear that it is not the actual threat of breakage that make these particular utensils far less than satisfactory. It is the flimsy nature of the materials employed and the lack of support inherent in the fundamental design that cause their utilization to often result in spillage and spring-like flippage of food into the dining environment. While these spoons are described as Medium Weight, experience leads to a certainty that this is an overestimation of the actual spoon strength. At first glance, the posted price makes these spoons seem to be an unequaled bargain but in reality the quickly ascertained flaws in their design and manufacture make them a dismal value as they are totally unsatisfactory for use in the majority of circumstances in which a reliable spoon would be required. Therefore, they are not recommended and it is suggested the initial natural impulse to purchase this item on the basis of price alone be controlled.
