    Molehill booties:
    -warmer, due to thinsulate lining
    -foam sole (so probably warmer, but harder for my pre-walker to "walk" around in. The bootie kept shifting and he's stumble over the sides)
    -less expensive!

    Stonz:
    -seem thin, just a thin fleece lining and the nylon outer. I haven't had the chance to really try them for extended periods in the cold.
    -no extra padding in the sole. Probably not as warm as the Molehill, particularly if your child is walking, but my barely-walking child could not walk in the Molehill booties. Maybe if you had an older child that was more of an established walker the Molehill booties would be ok
    -I like the toggle at the top of the bootie vs the strap near the top for the Molehill. I think being able to cinch in the top will keep snow out better.

    -both seemed made of good quality material, and I don't necessarily see one lasting longer than the other.

    Ultimately we chose the Stonz for our son because they seemed to stay in place on his feet better with less sliding around when he was crawling around and standing up to walk a little. We also liked the cinch at the top better than the top closure on the Molehill Booties. We'll be interested to see what types of socks/shoes he needs to wear underneath to stay warm. We don't really want to spend the extra money on the linerz. If your kid is more of an established walker, he/she might appreciate the thicker sole of the Molehill booties. Or maybe they're just tough to walk in and are better suited towards non-walkers. The Stonz did appear to cinch better at the ankle and top and I think will be great for my son learning to walk this winter and rolling around in the snow!

    I'm from the US, and my Canadian friend had these on her son- I immediately ordered them for my 14 mo old who hated any part of getting dressed, shoes, etc. Esp the charade that occurs when it's cold out with layers. These booties were great-- stayed dry and feet warm. However, they only fit over those RoBeez type shoes, or socks..I was hopeing they would go over a regular shoe or sneaker. A little pricey. Still, they will fit him next winter.

    I bought this for my 2 year old. She wears a 5T street shoe and it fits her well with lots of room to grow. I highly recommend this boot for toddlers. This is the only way I could get her to go out into the snow and get some fresh air. She loved dancing in the snow with her booties. I didn't even use the inserts. I may buy the inserts for next winter, but they really aren't needed if you toddler is wearing warm socks or slippers inside the booties. Buy a size up and you can be sure that they will last your toddler 2 or 3 winters. Great for snow here in Delaware!

    These are great. They should last a while (if we don't lose them! I can't actually find them right now). I like:

    - that they don't cut off circulation
    - that they have robust bottoms
    - that they should last for a while until ours is really walking outside
    - they are easy to put on

    The only problem is that we misplace them often ... might put bright color tape on them or something.

    I like these boots in terms of being light on the foot, easy for my son to walk in, but they just don't do the job. They are not even water-resistant. My son wore them out after a light rain and he got wet feet. He didn't even splash in puddles etc.

    I got these Stonz boots for my 8 month old grandson, he lives in Canada and its super cold there right now.
    Theses are perfect because he's not quite walking yet so he doesn't really have the nee for real winter boots.
    I got the dinosaur ones, they are brwon with a little yellow and orange dinosaur on it, its super sweet and my grandson loves dinos so its perfect for him.
    They are great quality constructed material, all the seems are strong and well sewn. The dino appliqué is sewn on well and has a lot of great detail to it.
    The inside fleece liner is so soft and warm, with the fleece insert you can buy extra these will be the warmest boots around.
    The outside is waterproof has a no skid soft bottom to it for when baby starts walking.
    These are ideal for putting on bare or sock feet, especially for kids that don't like shoes like my grandson.
    They are such great quality that i'm sure they will well outlast my grandsons fit at their current size and I will be able to pass them on to other grandchildren.
    These are Canadian made, and if anyone knows cold winters its them! What a well made product!
