I would give this product a 5 star rating but there are a few things I do not like about this particular model.

First off there are 2 models that I know off, and I own them both. This one the TROSTER & the TAPPERT.

The Differences that I can see is that the TAPPERT has only 1 swivel on the top or front of the unit and a fixed base at the rear or back, which in my case, works better. It also has a longer base which allows for a more adjustable placement on my leg. I have many guitars and I find that the TROSTER with the double swivel is too high in the rear unlike the fixed rear of the TAPPERT model and I like the longer base of the TAPPERT model. There is also the price difference the TROSTER being 30% more expensive.
This is just my humble opinion!

The unit is light weight and folds to fit into a gig bag. Setup takes some getting used to and depending on the type of classical guitar body shape you have, may need some extra tweaking. Full body guitars are easier to setup than cutaways and jumbo body is easier than small. Haven't used it enough to see if it leaves any suction marks on the guitar but it does come with protective tabs that can be placed between the guitar and the suction cups, it's just more setup to use the protective tabs.

pros:
+ two adjustable arms (height, angle) - great position setup precision for small or big guitar.
+ suction sups angles also can be adjusted
+ has comfortable pad which helps to stick better to your lap and leverage pressure.
+ KingOn stickers helped me to stick suction cups to my non-glossy guitar. Also they protect guitar finish (if you have it) from rubber suction cups (because some finishes do not like rubber attached to it).
+ easily fits my guitar case.

cons:
- pricy

This complete changed my guitar playing experience. I've been playing guitar for a long time (on and off). But I've always used a stool. It puts a lot of strain on my back and I can't play for very long. With ErgoPlay, playing is much more comfortable and fun. I can play for much longer without back pain or soreness. I cannot recommend this more. There are cheaper ErgoPlay models if the price is the factor.

I didn't fit the guitar I bought it for, a Martin 00 size Breedlove. I tried it on my Kremona Classical guitar and it held it awkwardly high, even at it's lowest setting. I returned it and am trying out the Tappert. Maybe that will work.

Worth every penny. Intuitively contoured, light, yet very well fabricated nonetheless. It would be nice if it were somehow collapsable for easier transportation, but I don't care. I'd rather have the better purpose-built product, ie. it's for playing, not for ease of transporting.

This thing is terrific. It took me several days to understand how to fully adjust it (essentially you affix two of the suction cups with one of the wing nuts secure leaving the other side loose, then you affix the second pair of cups and firm down the remaining wing nut). Now it couldn't be more comfortable and my guitar is in a reliable position. If you purchase this one you are assured that it is going to fit your body because of the flexibility in adjustment. Well worth the money considering the time I spend playing my instrument.

I've been using the Troester for a couple years now, and I continue to find it indispensable. I'm starting to think I'd like a fairly hard case for it -- something I could attach to the handle of my guitar case. I've been putting it in a cloth bag but it can get bumped out of adjustment. Anyone have any suggestions?
