I thought I would try the shorter socks for when I don't want the calf compression of knee high socks (I LOVE the tall socks). These give more arch support/compression than other brands of socks, but they are not nearly as strong as the tall socks. I couldn't find the sizing chart on either Amazon or 2xu website, and bought the small. (I wear 8 US) The small fits, but is just a bit too short in the foot. I like to adjust the support so it rests on the arch, with the toes completely free. The small binds just a bit.

The grey colour is slightly darker than shown on the picture (well at least on my computer screen). However, it works well. A sock is a sock. Not too thick and not thin. Somewhere in the middle. It is made to slightly and only very slightly compress the mid foot and there is plenty of toe room.

Very disappointed in 2XU. Luckily, I only bought one pair. Unfortunately, I already threw away the tags and I don't know if it is even worth it to try to return the socks which appear to be in poor condition after just one run

I ordered in a hurry based on my calf size like the long socks, without realising this one is based on shoe sizes which I should be wearing M instead of S. It still fits but the toe area seems a bit tight. May order another pair in M. My friend who recommended this says it's good for runners with thin ankles as tiny stones tend to get inside her socks normally but not with these.
