When i ordered this AC adapter i was excited to see it was the the same as my original Ac adapter that came with my gateway laptop. At this point i figured i couldnt go wrong ,I received the adapter fairly quickly, i went to plug it in to my laptop kept popping out, dont waste your $$ on this item you get what you pay for, you are better off spending $30 or $40 bucks for a universal adapter which i did and it works great

I charger took a dump on me finally. Researched a bit on Amazon. And found this seller to be favorable for the most part. I asked for over night shipping and got it right on time. Works GREAT. Fits just fine and snug in its port/outlet whatever you want to call it. I am not a technical person. All I know is my charger is charging my Laptop. Its doing the job that its intended to do. And It was way cheaper then spending 45 bucks or more from other places for a new charger for my laptop

After bad luck with cheap aftermarket chargers, I finally decided to spend a little more money on the Delta charger (something like $12 more - really not a lot). The charger that came with the laptop was a delta, which lasted around 2 years. This one, compared to the cheap aftermarket ones I have had, feels much more solid, and is cooler to touch. It's worth the minimal price difference for the heat factor alone.

After reviewing several alternatives I chose this adapter as I knew Delta as a supplier back in the 90s and knew they made good products. Shockingly it arrived the day after I ordered it and has worked flawlessly since. It hardly even gets warm, a sign of a good effecient design. Was it the cheapest one available? No, but I didn't want to chance the $9.99 one! And, the price sure beat the $60 the local computer store wanted for a universal adapter!

To make a long story short, thank God I found this on Amazon! I recently got a puppy and for some reason he loves to chew on my most important chargers (ie. my computer and phone charger). I was in a panic when it came to my computer charger because my computer is a little old, I got it back in 2008. I went to Best Buy, Walmart, Target, any store that I could think of that would sell things like this and none of them had it. I'm typically relieved when I order an AC adapter and it is entirely as pictured, this proved to be one of those relieving experiences. I order a lot of AC adapters for my laptop repair shop and I rely on finding OEM adapters at a good price. Tested with a multimeter, this adapter provides clean current and a snug fit.

Note: the other reviewer that stated that it pops right out of their jack probably has a worn jack, so the contacts don't have any pressure against the plug to keep it firmly seated.
