This worked great at restoring a destroyed computers hard-drive

There were occasional read issues where the drive would suddenly disconnect and I don't know how well it would do sustained read or writes but for quickly checking the contents of a drive, it worked great.

I purchased this item to use on a 128 GB ...

I purchased this item to use on a 128 GB SSD from an Apple MacBook A1425. The only problem I had was in sending the company an email to verify that this would work on an A1425 with a 7+17 pin SSD. Their response was that it was a 5+17 pin. It looked identical to Sintech's adapter which is advertised as a 7+17 and it was cheaper (at the time) so I got it anyway. It worked.

Works gerat when the style of drive matches.

Can be a great for extracting information from SSD using in MacBook Airs. Unfortunately compatibility is very hit or miss. ordered 3 different styles and still only have about a 60% success rate.
