I love the taste. It is very thick and has a deep red color, unlike the Ola Ola Carotino I purchased from Whole Foods. The Ola Ola label states it a 'cooking oil', this is also an oil, but the two are very different. This looks like tomato paste very thick also looks exactly like what was shown on Dr. Oz, it will stand up to the spoon test and not run. I gave it 4 stars only because no where on the label does it state it's organic, but in the description above it says it is, and it's in a plastic container, I would have prefer glass. I squeezed the palm oil into a glass container, this way it's a lot easier to get out. Others have said to heat the bottle in warm water, but I don't think it's safe to heat plastic.

Edit: I was running low and placed another order. In the meantime I'd see that Whole Foods is carring another brand of red palm oil, 'Alaffia Authentic West African Red Palm Oil'. So I decided I'd try it. Comparing the two-the Juka's is a very deep red, while the Alaffia is more of an orange color. The taste was very simular, but the Juka's seemed more flavorful. Plus I paid about $9.00 for 5oz. jar of Alaffia, what was I thinking?? So for me I'm not looking else where, this is going to be the red palm oil I will buy. I updated the rating to 5 stars because I was on Juka's web site and she says her palm oil is organic and also what I like is harvesting does not destroy the rain forest. Try it, it's amazing in stews, soups. I also sauted eggs which were very good. It has a spicy taste.

This is the first time I found a real palm oil in this country. I am from Africa and I know how a real palm oil is, taste and smell. Most of the palm oil on the market is yellowish color instead of red. Jukas red palm oil is original. I already tell one of my friend about it and she ordered it. Keep up the good work.

It is a saffron orange when it touches white. It is gooey. I wear an old shirt and plastic gloves and smoosh it on my hair and cover with plastic for an hour. Then, I wash it in the tub with a good shampoo. It is harder to wash out than other oils and rather messy, but wow! what a great oil treatment. Shiny and healthy hair. My stylist even noticed the difference. It did not stain. Great for my color-treated, dry hair.

Good quality. No heavy smell. As a test I mixed it in a viniagrette and put it on a salad but no one noticed. Turns out they thought it was reddish colored salad dressing mixed with a little vinegar and other spices which indeed it was. They never noticed any unusual flavor.

Love this stuff. Once you get past the taste, the benefits have been impressive. Fingernails are strong, hair and skin softer and has helped lower my blood sugar from 9.5 to 7 in 4 months. I take 1 tablespoon every morning with a beverage. Easy, once you get past the taste.

This product is the like coconut oil. It's liquid in parts and the rest is like soft butter. The only negative comment about the oil is that the narrow opening of container makes using the palm oil difficult.

W e have used four different varieties of red palm oil. We are on jar 12 of 33.8 fl. oz Juka's Red Palm Oil and has been the only one with consistency throughout , using it daily a jar lasts my wife and myself 10 days. Red stains is the only drawback
but it is natural color. This is the best Red Palm Oil we have found and highly recommend it as many in our Rv Park have switched to it also with the same opinion.

Tastes different cooked than raw, both are interesting flavors, the raw version is more nutty. I enjoy it,it's loaded with vitamins and vitamin precursors (especially carotenids). I've been sauteing sweet potato slices in it for my pre-gym snack. One caveat, the smoke-point on this is lower than expected. I thought it had a higher point than it actually did, so I've begun using it on slightly lower heat than I would usually use. Just takes the potatoes about an extra minute to be done. No big deal.
