This machine is small, light to carry, and fantastic. I have a long-haired cat, and when I used this little fellow for the first time , there wasn't any fur left on my chairs. Being that it is 2 in 1, you can do your chairs with the hand vac and then do your carpet or floors with the vacuum. It is so light to carry, and it stands up by itself--no more leaning against a wall or door. For the price, you cannot go wrong. I have used very expensive vacuums in the past, and there is no comparison. I did a lot of research before I purchased this vacuum, and I have to agreee with others who commented on it, that it is the best for the price. When I vacuumed my carpet, I was amazed at the amount of dirt that it took out of the carpet. As a matter of fact, I now love to vacuum. Before, I would have to lug some heavy machine around and always have to buy bags. Now, I have this cute little vacuum that is bagless and easy to use and does a better job. The only con is a short cord. But, use an extension cord and you will be okay. I highly recommend it . A great buy for the price. Definitely would purchase it again

We bought this little rascal for vacuming the split entry steps and basement without lugging out the big kahuna ( Dyson ). You won't believe the stuff this monkey picks up when you empty the filter cup. It does a great job on hard floors too. Corners aren't it's strength but it really does well on the steps and it's very light. Just add an extention cord or 2 and you can go all over. Rinse out the little cup every 3 weeks, let it dry and stick it back in. Don't bother with cordless models. You want the power of the motorized brush roll.

I did not purchase mine from here.
This machine is awesome for my needs. I have a large shedding dog no carpet just a few throw rugs and hardwood. I have had this almost a week and I have been using it daily (almost). It has 2 settings carpet and floor. I like the carpet setting better. I empty the canister after each use not because it needs it I just do...I HAVE NOT HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH IT POPPING OPEN DURING USE AS one other review had noted. I rinse the canister out and clean the filter (as I said I have a large shedding dog). I have the swifter, I have a broom...I have little time. This little vac is light weight and it does what use to take me an hour to do in 15 mins. It is very easy on my back (I am 5'), easy on my wrist. I use it all over my house even the kitchen and bathroom....LOVE IT!!!

We can't use it yet because the two-part bolt that holds the handle on is broken and we have been unable to get in touch with the manufacturer to get a replacement one, although we have called several times. We keep getting a message to "call back during normal business hours" no matter what time of day we call. We tried to get a bolt locally but no-one carries that type of bolt. We will try again tomorrow to call and if we can't get in touch with any one at Eureka, we will send the item back.

We have a vacation property management company and this thing is a life-saver. Its super light weight makes stairs a breeze and the bagless dust trap is easy to clean (especially with an old tooth brush) off the startling amount of dust and hair, etc. that it picks every time. We had other brands but they would often loose their suction once the trap got too full. This one impressively keeps pulling up the dirt even after the trap is quite full. Thank you for making a highly functional product that's super affordable!!!

I was all excited to write a four or five star review of this vacuum. But after 3 uses, my dirt compartment has fallen open twice. The first time I thought perhaps my son had been playing with the release, but after it happened again, I feel like it is a problem with my unit. I'm really not into having to vacuum up the the mess and inhaling the dust cloud 2/3 of the time.

It picked up everything I asked it to on both the carpet and tile, including in the grout. I would have liked a slightly longer cord, a space to stow the removable stick handle, and cord storage that remains intact on the main unit whether the handle is on or off. It is lightweight and easy to handle. My two-year-old and four-year-old fight over who gets to vacuum for me, and they actually do a decent job with this machine, aside from trying to get too far from the outlet with the not-quite-long-enough cord.

But, like I said, the fatal flaw, the unforgivable flaw, is that the dirt compartment won't stay securely latched. Unacceptable, so this is going to be returned.
