I never realized how important it is to have one of these on hand to play pool with. Using the spikes on the end of the tip really helped with chalk retention. there was a noticeable change in the grip on the ball during hits. I would recommend this to anyone who plays pool. just watch a youtube video first if you don't know what you are doing.

While this is a cheaply version of this tool, you can't beat it for the price! For my money it works just as well as the refined versions, at a fraction of the cost. Since all it needs to do is scuff, shape, and pick, you don't need it to be all that finely machined, and this does its job perfectly on my most expensive cues.

Both ends of the tool have nearly the exact same shape. The shaping end is too flat and doesn't create a proper curve on the tip. I wouldn't recommend this brand for anyone. Stick with a recognizable company like cuetec.
