I bought this back pack for my one corgi who is a bit chubby. She is high energy despite her weight and I thought giving her a job would be a great way to bond, achieve exercise and make her calm. She is usually quite resistant to new items, but was very amenable from the moment I put it on her. She takes it out frequently to go for walks.

This item is well made, however, it has been used only for walks in my community, nothing rugged. The zippers and pockets as well as snaps are well made and easy to adjust.

My dogs, all 3 corgis range from 26-32lbs and this adjusts to all three no problem. I plan to buy one for each kid.

Been using it for a week and it has been perfect. I put some bottled water in for weight. The extra large fits both of my dogs perfectly (Akita and an overweight Golden Retriever) but hopefully this will help the Golden Retriever lose some weight, so she can go down a size. I am amazed at the personality change as soon as I put it on. They both go into walk mode with much less playing or trying to sniff anything that may distract them. Wanted to try this out for a while before I bought 2, but after this week, I think it is perfect and will be getting another.

Great item, but the fit is way off. The bottom part of the pack covers my Jack Russell's 'boy parts' and there is no way to bring it forward. The size is right, but the positioning of the belly strap is not right...

My small poodle-mix mutt is about 11 to 15 lbs., and a little underweight. But, that doesn't mean he isn't a ball of energy. Often on our walks I feel like I'm holding him back; he likes to walk at a brisk pace, which would require me to run. I was noticing that he spent most of our walks pulling on the leash, and that didn't feel good for either of us.

So, with my vet's recommendation, I went searching for a backpack to which I could add weights. Those of us who can't regularly let their dogs, a little weight helps make sure they get the exercise they need. Ultimately, I selected this backpack from Henry and Clemmies. The small is a good fit length wise, and at the neck, but even at its smallest setting, it is a bit loose around the mid-section. That said, the bag stays in place with no shifting even while running. I attribute this to good load distribution and the front collar portion. It is this front collar that I really like most about the backpack. It is a more substantial part of the backpack than other brands. This allows my little guy to frolic and do his business without the bag sliding around/off. And the majority of the snap area is padded so there is no chafing as we walk.

Now, to the weights. This bag is small. My dog is small. You cannot fit large items into the pockets. So, you've got to be a little creative. I found the perfect solution in the canned foods aisle. I started him with two half pound cans and he is now up to two one pound cans - baked beans, if you really want to know. The effect on our walk has been remarkable. No more pulling! I can tell he is slowed down, but not over-weighted. And when we get home, the fact that he has been properly exercised really shows. He is much more restful through the night.

I have a 17lb PomMix dog and it fits great if you shorten all the snaps. I would not recommend to a dog any smaller. I did a lot of research on weighted vests for walking behavioral dogs. I put weights in mine and it has worked great. I use this on regular walks and it has held up, but I could see how it could wear down with heavy hiking. The color is ture to the photo.

Bought the large. my dog has a 30 inch girth. large is supposed to fit 28-35 inch girth. The max you can adjust the large to is 29.5 inches. Not big enough:( So, I ordered the extra large. it is supposed to fit 35- 49. I thought maybe they just run small.. Nope. the extra large is 34 inches at its smallest adjustment. My dog is 30 inches. Out of luck for what seems to be a nice pack. I ordered a replacement large thinking maybe mine was mis-sized. Nope. The new large only goes to 29.5 inches. So I do like the pack, but will have to make my own adjustments. They only offer replacement so I am stuck with a large and extra large. Their customer service should be better.

Bought this for my 50lb American Pit Bull Terrier to carry her own water, food, poop bags etc. on our hike and we love it! It is very breathable, fits well and is very well made. Can't leave on a hike without it!

Would recommend this product to any dog that needs a job! Easy to put on, adjustable, fits well, easy to clean, and my 13" beagle likes it! Remember: do not add more than 7 percent of your dog's weight (if you add weight) and distribute this weight evenly in the side pockets.
