I just got this delivered and just based on what I hear in the house through my gig rig this little thing is bad-ass!! I may have to update my review after a few gigs this weekend.
Really funky tones can be had. If it holds true in a performance this by far one of best pedal I've ever purchased and for little over $60.00. If it doesn't sound as great on a gig it will be great for recording and still a keeper.

Get that Bootsy vibe without going broke. I use this with my bass guitars to get that 70's funk tone. It can be setup to engage based on your attack, meaning that you can play lightly without the effect, then slap and pop the funk out of it without having to engage the switch. Good stuff!

Reluctant to buy an expensive synth wah pedal for my bass for the occasional song, I jumped on this great deal, and I think I might find more places to add this sound into my playing. This is the second Mooer pedal I have in addition to the Slow Engine (which is my favorite pedal ever, it sounds like the Boss Slow Gear, but is 1/4 the price. Besides the tiny stature of this pedal, it has a nice blendably translucent sound that doesn't suck the bass out of your signal. With all bass effects, there is usually some low end frequency loss when effects are activated, but I found this pedal preserved the bulk of your bass heft. In fact, the pedal adds a subtle mid boost that helps the envelope filter pop out of the mix a bit. I bought this pedal specifically for an INXS song called Elegantly Wasted. If you listen to the bass line of this song, every four bars, the bass has an envelope filter effect that fades in. I was able to do that with this pedal by adjusting the attack of my picking hand the way you might use an expression pedal to fade an effect in and out. I have yet to experiment with this pedal's capabilities outside of the gig situation. After adding it in to a couple of songs at a wedding gig, I received no disdainful looks or uncomfortable comments from any band members. I have yet to really explore the fuzz setting, but from what I can tell, the clean setting is the preferred sound. From playing with the knobs a little I got some really dog whistly sounds. This is a good product, and if nothing else, the English instructions translated, probably, from Mandarin are highly entertaining.

I've tested this little box extensively and have come to realize that it can do quite a bit more than the vowel like envelope sounds.
One setting particularly like is; Intensity @ 9:00, range between 1:00 & 2:00 and resonance @ around 11:00 with the fuzz engaged. I kicked in my EHX micro q-tron to pair with the Mooer Bass sweeper and got a really cool low end synth like envelope effect.
But the pedal is really usable by itself. Patience and tweaking go a long way!

This small footprint pedal is both easy to dial in and pleasing to the ear -- and good value for money besides.

While labeled as a 'bass' pedal, it sounds quite nice with a strat or tele -- it really shines with the bass. Dialing in a desired sound is straightforward, and once set it 'just works.' The sweeper has a surprisingly wide 'sweet spot' so switching pickups or changing volume on the instrument doesn't require re-adjusting the effect (as I found to be the case on other filter effects).

As a preference I like to have a bit of compression ahead of the effect, but that's just me.

This was my first Mooer brand pedal and I'm quite pleased to get such nice tone without moving to pricey boutique or vintage.

It is exactly what I am looking for. Better than the EHX bassballs.
