As a birder I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It is appealing to everyone and perfectly portrays the appeal and mystery of birds and birding. Creatively edited and compiled (by season), and following the story of individuals and how their lives are affected by and fit into the birds, it was a delight to watch. Recommended to anyone who enjoys quality nature and human interest documentaries.

This video makes you feel like you are right out there in the park with these birders. It really represents the birding experience. Great views of many birds. I've watched this three times already.

This is a great documentary with beautiful pics. I am the founder of The Urban Bird and Nature Society in Omaha, NE and plan to use the video for discussion at one of my seminars. Too fun!

For birders (my parents) and non-birders (myself) this movie is fun, informative and just plain interesting. It gives a glimpse into a year in Central Park and all it's seasons. We loved it!

This film is perfect for someone just getting into birding. It conveys the excitement of spotting a bird and being able to identify it. It conveys the excitement also of seeing familiar species return year after year. The comments by individuals, including Jonathan Franzen, on what birding means to them and on the effects of diminishing habitat, are also interesting.

Brings birding to life in a warm and observant way, bringing together the natural science and human interest perspectives. Instead of offering the list of birds as an appendix, I wish they had offered IDs as a surtitle on the screen, coinciding wih the visual (enabling novices like me to know who we're seeing). How cool that Jonathan Franzen is a birder!

Fun. I'd passed some of the birders while walking in the park and wondered about them. This vid leaves no stone unturned in explaining who they are and why they stand with binoculars raised high, begging pickpockets to target them (lol).
