We have tried several times in the past to become an all-rechargeable household, and were disappointed each time. The rechargeable batteries we've tried before either drained out very quickly, or did not hold their charge while not in use.

These Eneloop batteries are different; they hold their charge very well while in storage, and last a really long time while in use. I've been buying a couple of packs a month and gradually replacing every AA and AAA battery in the house with Eneloops.

This kit is highly recommended. Get it and leave the charger in a convenient place, then whenever your batteries run out just pop them in overnight and store them once they are charged up. You'll never need to use disposable AA or AAA batteries again.

Pros:
-Low discharge.
-Fine quality product. Well constructed
-Conventional size and dimension. I had other batteries that I have to use a screwdriver to remove from my camera because it is fatter than other "AA's".
-Included "D" & "C" spacers are really useful.
-Regular charger included (You can also use your existing NiMh charger for these batteries)
-Sleek and sexy design

Cons:
-More expensive than ordinary NiMh
-Not available at many stores

This a worthwhile investment. It comes with eight AA batteries and two AAA. It also has two adapters each for C & D cells. The adapters work by inserting one of the AA batteries into the adapter which then makes it usable in anything requiring that cell size. Makes perfect sense as they are all rated at 1.5 volts. Have not tried the adapters so can not really speak to how well they function, but the principle seems sound. The other thing is the longevity of the charge. No doubt about it, they hold a charge much longer than conventional rechargeable batteries. Since using these in my computer mouse I have doubled the time before a recharge is necessary. I'm guessing that over the long haul a substantial savings will be realized as compared to using standard batteries or a conventional rechargeable. Very happy that I made this purchase.

I am a professional wedding photographer, so I go through batteries faster than kids go through their Halloween buckets. I have 12 Eneloop AA's (I had more, but I may or may not have lost the others...) that are gold to me (irony) and have exceeded my expectations. They hold charge, recycle quickly, and take WAY longer to die compared to EVERY OTHER BATTERY I've used. You will NOT be disappointed if you buy these!

I have a few remotes around the house that use batteries. Then I bought an iMac with a wireless keyboard and trackpad that soak up some juice. So, naturally the keyboard would stop working when I was in the middle of something. Swap the batteries out of my remote... then things just spiraled out of control from there. Weak batteries in my DVR remote lead to poor performance, trying to fast forward through commercials and going to far. No one likes that. Then swapping things around I ended up with a pile of batteries, not sure if the still had juice or not. Off to the nearest convenient store that has a 200% mark up on everything, and at least 300% on batteries. Played that rochambeau for a few weeks. I then set out for mall after getting ripped off a few times by my local convenient store. Apple store had ridiculous magic this magic that bulls*** batteries that were just too expensive. Radio Shack had junk, not impressed. I returned home let down and discouraged by american standards of consumer products. I turned to the internet. A few min. of reading through prices of battery sets on amazon, I chose this model. Nice clean, good for the environment, feel to the whole set. Battery problems = solved.

UPDATE: This set is legit. I've had this set for a few months now and everything is holding up. Batteries have a long life while in use or sitting around waiting to be used.

This package gives a lot of stuff and works fine. 4 AA are in one color, other 4 AA are in a different color so you could have one batch charged at a time. My only complaint is that there are only 2 AAA.
