I bought some of these in May of 2010, when they only had one size, so I can't say what size they were. I like to wash them every time they are used, seems like mold or other stuff could be lurking in there. I put them in the wash with our sheets, on "hot." I also throw them in the dryer, they did shrink some the first time, but it doesn't seem to harm them at all. And they do stretch out when I put the produce in. All the seams are still holding fine, I love these bags. The mesh is nice for things like apples, pears, etc. I'm ordering more because there are some in the fridge, holding stuff, some in the laundry. When I get to the grocery store I don't have enough. I have a few of the flip and tumble bags, they are nylon (I think) and light, compress easily. But the seam in one is giving out, I don't feel the quality is as good as the Simple Ecology. And no, I am not affiliated with them in any way, don't know them, they aren't in my family. I just love these bags. I also have some of their muslin bags, they are good for beans and rice, but don't really hold flour well.

These bags are great, the only snag(I mean that literally) I've had is when putting bananas in them, the hard dry spot at the top of a bunch of bananas where they all connect, they catch the fabric and will snag it if your not careful. So be careful and these bags will last you a long time. The only other issue I've had is the cashiers at the local Walmart don't know how to minus the tare weight of these bags, I even waited patiently for a manager to come and show them how to do it but the manager didn't know either. I kinda just figured they could just hit the minus button, but I guess not.

I wish I had found these long ago. They're fantastic. The extra-larges are actually big enough to hold two big bunches of chard or chard and romaine, or several pounds of potatoes and onions. The large is big enough for a couple of heads of broccoli easily. The medium is great as well and very practical. Unlike other produce bags I had bought, these are mesh so you can use them to store things and you can always see what is inside, which is great. They are sturdy as well, and easy to old, and they take up very little space when not in use. Overall, the best of the ones I have bought----I've bought about three other kinds of this website, and now these are the only ones we use.

These bags are very well-made from organically grown cotton and the quality exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to hit the produce section this weekend and not feel guilty about using plastic bags (even though I would reuse them). If I had to find something 'wrong' with them it would be that the tare weight is located on the inside of the bag. Otherwise, couldn't be happier.

I've been wanting to purchase reusable produce bags for a long time and finally decided I was worth it. These are very sturdy. While they did shrink the first wash (100% cotton after all), they stretched right back out again. They're durable, stretchy, oh so soft and I like that you can see through the bag to see what is inside - easier for the cashier.
They really are a good price for what you get and I can tell they'll last a long time. Excellent product!

I was skeptical about this purchase at first because of the cost and my past history with flimsy woven mesh, BUT these are gorgeous, soft, well-made bags that are perfect for sooooo many situations! The cost is minimal compared to the quality. I use them as stuff sacks in all my sewing stashes - the little ones for toggles and buttons and the XL size for yarn, cloth, etc. I had been using see-thru plastic containers because the soft mesh I'd used in the past was weak and short-lived. These bags are much sturdier! The XL size will hold about the same amount of stuff as a shoe box, so I am planning on purchasing more of them when it is time to put away winter storage - a great alternative for stuffing away wool socks and chunky-yarn hats. I thought originally that the small sizes would be good for only small grocery shopping and a few trinkets, but they have become must-have organizing tools in every room and laundry is MUCH easier. In the bathroom, the bags are perfect for collecting hair ties, small bottles, lip balms... and I hang one in the shower to catch rings, earrings, etc. The mesh is tight and dependable. We've made closet and drawer sachets with whole coffee beans and whole cloves. *I did add toggle buttons to the bags that take the most opening/closing abuse (the cord knots are impossible to untie if they are wet), but my clever pre-teen is experimenting with creating much prettier, leather slip-closures and colorful crochet slides.

I love these, and they are exactly what they say they are. The only downside is that most stores can't actually zero out the bag by typing in the weight. So I have to remove the produce from the bag when I get in line, and then put it back in after they've charged me. But you can leave your produce in these bags in the fridge and it stays good as opposed to plastic bags. But mostly, a tiny amount of extra effort on my part in order to not use plastic bags....worth it.
