Angelus 100% Pure Neatsfoot Oil is a material preserver and water repellent for leather. Waterproofs, softens, lubricates, and preserves. Meets Federal Standard C-N-22A. An ideal dressing for boots, shoes, harnesses, saddles, holsters, baseball gloves, and other leather goods. Adds longer life to leather and will prevent cracking and drying. Will not rot stitches or laces. NOT INTENDED FOR USE ON SUEDE OR NAPPY LEATHER.

    If you have something of value in leather: shoes, furniture, hand bag, brief case, skirt or jacket, you need a way to moisturize these items for longer life and better look and feel. This item is great. I use it in conjunction with a bit of LEATHER MILK. Get both. You wont be sorry. Use very little of each when applying. Allow drying time in between the application of the other.

    I first started applying the liquid using a damp cloth as they recommend, but the leather boots absorbed it faster than I could put it on. To solve this problem I switched over to a pastry brush. By using the brush I had much better control over how much I applied and was able to get into the tight nooks of the boot hardware.

    By the time I completely coated my hunting boots (very well) I had used 3/4 of the bottle. The reason they absorbed so much is because the boots are five years old and have never been treated before.
    I will come back later to update the review and report how effective the oil is.

    This oil helped revive my leather boots. I don't mind the slight darkening a bit. This oil made the boots water-proof again, which means dry socks this winter. Very happy w/ it! Also, very easy to apply- I used a cotton ball.
