The Jack Quick 3000 HHD-1000 is a great trailer jack for our 20 ft. horse trailer. We busted our manual jack by driving off with it only lifted an inch off the ground. The hole in the trailer tongue was pretty close to the same size as the new electric jack so I had to saw off the bottom of the manual jack to get it out. The new electric bolted right in. The instructions say to use Grade 5 bolts (not included) and torque to 10-15 ft. lbs. A set of star washers was included and the instructions said to use them to bite through the paint on the jack so there will be a good ground connection to the trailer. The only wire to connect was a 10-gauge stranded conductor with about 3 feet of length and a fuseholder which included two 30-amp fuses (1 spare). (I will measure the current draw and update.) The instructions say to connect the 10-gauge wire directly to the positive terminal of the battery. I used the little 12V 5AH sealed lead acid battery inside the trailer brakes breakaway controller which had very small tab terminals. The little battery by itself was able to power the jack, though I wouldn't plan on running it up and down more than a couple of times between charges. (It charges whenever the trailer is plugged into the truck for towing.) It is not very speedy, whether plugged into the truck or not (I will time it and update this review) but the fine treads and motor generate plenty of force to lift the tongue. There is a plastic cap on top of the motor that you must pry out with your fingernails to access the manual jacking screw. There is a large slotted screw that mates to the included handle and allows you to raise or lower the jack very slowly without electricity. It was packed well in cardboard and styrofoam, so it arrived in perfect condition.

I installed this on our 23ft 6000# travel trailer. It has no difficulty lifting this camper, doing so quickly and quietly. It makes hooking/unhooking much easier.

It took about 30 minutes to install, including wiring. I needed a ratchet and socket, wire stripper/crimper, some wire ends and a bit of electrical tape. Tip: Tape a spare fuse to the wire beside the fuse holder. This will save you a lot of time if you blow a fuse.

Installed very easily. Works perfectly and is as fast as anyothet electric jack i have ever used. The inline fuse was a little tricky figuring out. The fuse is included as a red wire loop. you have to cut the loop and wire it onto the end of your power wire. I'm not sure why they don't just include the fuse on the power wire, but thankfully other manufacturers use this same technique and had you tube videos available.
