Bought three of these EZ grip 2X larger piece puzzles for my 92 year old Dad. When I opened the first puzzle only a few large pieces were in the box, the rest were small. He was unable to do the puzzle. I have returned the other two puzzles. Would not recommend for older adults.

This Masterpiece "General Store" EZ Grip puzzle is the second EZ grip 1000 pc. puzzle we've done recently. We enjoyed them both enormously. We liked the larger pieces; they fit tight and secure. We would've given it five stars but for the fact that the soft focus of the image made individual pieces often difficult to identify and locate in the overall picture. We attribute this characteristic to the fact that the original artwork was probably enlarged in order to make it a puzzle of this size. We also completed Johnnie Otts Hex Signs EZ grip puzzle made by Masterpieces. With that puzzle, pieces were easier to place because the details of the picture were sharper and better focused. Both were challenging and fun. We found these 2X larger piece puzzles to be a great alternative to the tiny 1000 piece puzzles.

We loved the challenge of this puzzle. Unfortunately part of that challenge was the fact that the colors were not quite true to the picture and the lower right corner of the picture on the front of the box was covered by an advertisement for the free app (a pet peeve of mine). The pieces were a nice size and very sturdy. It took a couple of weeks to work, doing it in our spare time (or when we walked by the table it was on). In the end, the result was a very lovely, colorful, and large puzzle (39" x 27").

I ordered two of these puzzles for my 89 year old Mom. The pieces are large, but the shapes are very irregular and it makes solving the puzzle very difficult. The colors and quality of the picture are not sharp and crisp and what looked like a great picture in real life was frustratingly hard to put together. Virtually any Ravensburger puzzle would have been a better choice. I worked with my Mom on this puzzle long enough to see that because of the fuzzy colors and the fact that the pieces are shaped oddly and fit together in such a random manner that it robs the joy of doing the puzzle. I would not recommend.
