    I needed to replace the pool shoes I wear for water aerobics. Local stores consider them a seasonal item (even tho' we have indoor pools that are busy year round) so I was unable to find a replacement pair. These shoes are very comfortable and I like that they have an adjustment that makes them fit snugly. I never feel like they will come off in the pool. The price was reasonable even with shipping charges.

    I was looking for something that was easy to slip on, good for walking around the house, but could take the wet grass when going outside with dogs. These are perfect. Like bare feet with some protection for the soles of your feet. Airy, but found they were even comfortable when walking on stones in our rocky driveway. Sizing was just right.

    As simply a water shoe, this shoe does its job. I, however, also used it for my kickboxing class that sometimes requires me to run laps around the room. During my 2nd use at the gym, the inserts moved out of place and formed an uncomfortable unevenness under my feet. I don't think these were meant to be used for high-energy movement. When I did use these in the water park, they did fit perfect & were comfortable throughout. The draw-string allowed for a perfect if. My shoe-size is 6.5; the size 7 shoe fit just right.     These shoes look great and they are pretty much true to size... but WHAT IS THE POINT OF WATER SHOES IF YOU CANNOT GET THEM WET? The very first time I wore these, the insoles came unglued from the bottom of the shoe, bunching up and making it impossible to walk. If I take the insoles out, the shoe is not finished and when I put it back in flat, it comes out again. I'm going to wait for them to dry and see if I can get some waterproof glue. Wish me luck.

    This is a first impressions review and will be updating it once I use them.

    The very first thing I noticed as I took them out of the package, was a very strong offensive rubber/ chemical scent I could smell from 2 feet away. I have been wearing them for 30 minutes and it is 60% gone. This should not be an ongoing problem. The color is nice. I got the yellow and it is a deeper yellow (unlike the lighter yellow shown in the pic). But it's still nice. As I put them on I noticed that they are just a tad bit small for my feet. My big toe pushes through the fabric slightly. I am a 6.5 and got a 6. I still think it's the right size for me, since I bet 7 would be too big. Plus this kind of fabric should stretch when wet. The shoe also secures on nicely once the string thing is pulled all the way. Walking feels fine (aside from my big toe pushing through a little), they feel very light and airy, there are no seams that poke at my skin. The padded insert is actually glued on (under the heel, not mid-foot or toes). That doesn't mean that it won't come off in the water, as most water shoes will do that.

    I can't wait to use them in the water this summer. I can finally walk around without feeling anxious that something will cut or scratch me. Sweet!

    Update Feb 2015: After 2 summers of use, I finally remember to update this! They are fantastic! Comfy to walk in, stay put in the water, show no wear (granted I have used them on about 10 occasions, but still ...). I have not had a single problem with the padded insert, as it's still glued on. They still have a little of that chemical scent. At this point, safe to say, that it is not going away. However, only at 20% the intensity from before; I basically have to put my nose to the shoe to detect it.    Read more ›
