I'm a bit amazed that this salt received a poor review! How can you give a one star review to a curing salt? This stuff isn't always easy to find but here it is on Amazon at a really good price and (for people with Prime) it ships free. What's there to give a poor review about? Maybe the previous reviewer needs to learn a thing or two about curing meat!

This product arrived quickly was as described and I was very pleased with it. So please I've ordered it several times from the same supplier. It's curing salt, it's not going to get up and make you coffee but it will cure some meat for you and it will do that very well.

Apparently it is was it's supposed to be and does what it's supposed to do. (Unfortunately, my package said that it was nitrate rather than nitrite, but the company assures me that that was a typo. It's not so good when one incorrect letter can change everything. That's why it got four stars rather than five.)

I love Bacon! I love making bacon! I love this curing salt because I can make bacon and not have to worry about dying from bacteria. I typically will find a bacon recipe online that will ask for pink salt. Most recipes only ask for a tsp or 2 of this pink salt. Using only a tsp at time this bag is going to last me for an awful long time. This salt can be harmful to people if used like table salt so I store mine in a gallon size zip lock with warning that I have written all over. I have little girls so I store it super high in the pantry behind a lot of other things. Bacon is easy to make and you save a ton of money doing it yourself. I found this to be the most reasonable price for pink salt.
