I am taking the time to write a review for the first time ever because hopefully it will help others. I have been searching for a case for a month for my LG L40G phone with no luck whatsoever. Finally I stumbled upon a page from Europe about this Trident case for the Optimus L5. It indicated it would also fit my phone. Did a search and found Amazon was carrying them. This is a great product and I am happy to say it does fit my LG L40G phone perfectly! It is durable and even came with a screen protector. Order without reservation if you have an L40G.

I got this cover for my husband. We both recently purchased the LG Optimus Extreme phones through Net10. There are currently no covers listed for that model. A review on the phone itself informed me that covers for the LG L5 (European version) fit my phone. I purchased some really low profile covers from a place in London, but the protection provided was minimal and the ship time was a little long. My husband is hard on phones. He really needs a hybrid cover, so I broke down and bought him this one. He really likes it. The added bulk is fairly minimal for a hybrid cover and the fit, look and feel are good. I may purchase one for me as well.

One thing I will note is to WATCH the price. It flucuates a lot on this product. Don't pay too much. If the price is more than $22-24, put a watch on it. The price will go down.

from doing research on the phone before i got it. i found this case on the trident site. i went on the amazon.com and found it for 21.80. fits my phone perfectly. fits into my jean pocket. pulls out with no problems. its a great case. the shipment was a little slow. however i did just get ground. generally ground comes a little quicker. i would recommend this case. it was the best case that i found. i have horses and goats so i really need to protect my phone in case i drop it or it falls out of my pocket. it actually has with no damage to my phone. they have not brought out a case for the lg40 its the same phone.

Fit's my Optimus Extreme PERFECTLY ! Even includes a flip cover for the Micro USB port which the phone doesn't come with. Where the case covers the on/off button or the volume rocker, a nice tactile feel is maintained.

while I feel this case will provide adequate drop protection it also increases the likely hood of dropping the phone in the first place - both the neoprene rubber and plastic pieces are unbelievably slippery - yet when you try and take it out of your pocket it seems like the neoprene hangs up on the cloth of your pants/shirt

also it turns a nice slim phone into the incredible bulk

and for these reasons i am returning this item

After much searching to find a cover to fit my LG Optimus Extreme phone, I found a blog in which a reviewer said this Trident case for the L5 model would also fit the Optimus Extreme Model. Happy to say the cover is a perfect fit. Make sure to read the instructions before installing the body of the cover to ensure the protective clear shield is put in place over the touch screen prior to the fitting the actual cover. This case features a protective rubber cover that encases the manual volume button but it still allows the user to adjust the volume on the side of the phone without any issues whatsoever. The case also has a little rubber "flip-style" cover that protects the charging receptacle, something LG probably should have installed when manufacturing the phone, itself. Awesome case - 5 out of 5 stars most definitely.

I wish I would of read the full review before I bought this. I didn't know it would come with a screen protector. and I didn't know it would be such a good one!! I normally have a hard time getting these on w/o the bubbles! I had absolutely no problem putting this one on, no bubbles at all!! I wish I wouldn't of bought a 6 pack of protectors for no reason!( well atleast I have plenty of spares.)as for the case, I like it! not to big at all. ( I had an old case that was very hard plastic, it was slimmer but didn't protect anything)this one feels like it would take a true drop and have no problems.( I hope), the only negatives would be that the case is a little slick feeling( not to bad) and that I keep hitting the power button by accident( im sure I will get used to that, actually I like how easy it is to hit all the other buttons!!) all in all a VERY good case.

This is an okay case. I liked the idea of it more than the actual product. The combination of harder plastic and softer rubber seemed like a good idea, but I found it just made the case a little awkward to hold on to and it wasn't the easiest case to fit onto the phone either. The little rubber things that cover the jacks are also a good idea, but don't sit flush or hold in very well, so they almost always were half out and getting caught on things.
