I got these for my wife who is frequently arranging flowers and has had a difficult time cutting them. She is quite pleased with these shears. The large handles allow her to spread the grip and use the full force of her hand to cut. The shears are quite sharp and produce a clean cut.

These are my favorite gardening tool I have. Extremely strong, I use them to trim up my bougainvillea as well as my succulents and nepenthes. They hold their sharpness really well, but do quickly get some dingy markings on the blades that I have been unable to remove. Be careful when using them, as it is easy to pinch your skin between the handles when cutting through thick branches with them - and it does not feel good.

I purchased these for a friend who is an Ikibana Sensei in Okayama Province Japan. I have never seen or touched them, but Hatsue Sensei has reported back through friends that these are of outstanding quality and equal to any she has used in the past seventy years. I will take her word for it. What I do know personally is that ordering them was easy and the shipping to Japan was similarly easy. I am very pleased with the service and the reported quality of the shears.

I loved these shears when they arrived, but I used them one time and they started to rust. I've tried to keep them clean and dry but they hard to use (open/close) even though they are sharp.
