I used this on a centrifugal pump that I use to irrigate the lawn from our irrigation ditch. It has a 2" discharge. The foot valve works great! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the strainer around it has relatively small holes and plugs easily if the water has trash in it. The price was right and it is well made.

This is the one with a 2" thread - not the multiple-thread version. You get the one on the left - only.

Works "ok". The strainer snaps off so easily that I had to put a hose clamp on it. But that fixed the problem.

This valve will do, but is cheaply made and I don't expect it to last in the lake more than a season. EIther the rubber valve washer will decay, or gunk up with algae. When this happens, the pump will no longer hold prime... I may pull it out during the winter for cleaning and maintenance. There used to be much better valves, about equal cost, before everything went cheap, cheap, cheap.
