This is a very, very fun record. I've seen them live a few times, and as much as I loved those shows, I was still surprised at how well they were able to translate their energy into this studio album. It's creative, interesting, and challenging while still being really fun and easy to listen to. It's got an amazing lineup of top-notch jazz musicians - I really don't know how they got so many good people on one record. Highly recommended.

... and also knows how to associate with a lot of great musicians. I love Rashanim, Madof's previous musical adventure, from a long time ago, so I was both intrigued and suspicious of this new project when I heard about it.
After some months and a lot of listenings, I have to review it because it's absolutely wonderful and highly enjoyable. I can't wait to hear a new release by this amazing super-group, luckily a live one (I haven't had the chance to see them live, but I'm sure they must absolutely rock).
I couldn't recommend it strong enough.

Some greatness to their music at other times garbage band, which is really to bad. I think going off from a song is great for music but it should have some rhythm to it, in some of their pieces this is but a dream. I had heard earlier samples of their music and thought it to be great the reason I purchase this album, I was wrong.

I have been collecting recordings of Jewish jazz for decades. Zion80 has its own take on this genre and anyone who shares this interest will want to hear it.
