I browsed around on Amazon for a good hour looking for a better running sock; out of the six types I chose to buy, these are my favorite.

Aside from these beauts, I bought:

    1) Darn Tough Vermont Merino Wools - http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B002JE9WZE/ref=oh_details_o00_s02_i02
    2) Drymax Lite Trail Runners - http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B002ECUSSG/ref=oh_details_o00_s01_i00
    3) Thorlo Unisex Experia CoolMaxes - http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B002EVGOTO/ref=oh_details_o00_s02_i03
    4) Wigwam Ironman Flash Pros - http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B001A42I28/ref=oh_details_o00_s02_i01
    5) ...and three different types of the Injinji Performance Toesocks, none of which I liked.

And that's how I would order them in preference.

As for why I liked these best:

    a) Left and Right anatomically correct socks
    b) The heel pull tab is snug, and the sock doesn't sink into your shoe; it stays put
    c) They compress and cushion my foot in all the right places
    d) They don't overly block out air or let too much through; not too cold outside in the Winter, not too hot inside on the tread
    e) They come in cool colors

I've only worn them a few times so far and washed them once. They seem like they'll last for a good long while, they're high quality, and they don't keep odors held in. I'm going to be buying some more for sure. Highly recommended.

Edit: 2014-APR-18 These socks are still going strong. They haven't loosened up at all, they aren't getting holes worn in them, and they also haven't shrunken from over a year's time being worn and washed. Awesome socks!

I got plantar fasciitis in my arch. These socks hug my arch and have kept it from coming back. They are expensive but worth it for me. I have 6 pair that I rotate.

My husband and college-age son are both long distance runners and compete in marathons, half-s, and 10Ks. Not only do they wear through a bunch of training shoes...their socks also take a lot of abuse and require frequent replacement. We've found over time that investing in higher quality socks makes a big difference in their foot comfort while training. My husband in particular likes the low-cut or "no show" type socks. Often, though, that type of sock has a tendency to slide down into the shoe during long, sweaty runs. The compression areas in these Feetures Elite socks fit the foot snugly and stay up well. Also good at wicking away moisture from skin.

Once I saw how much they liked theirs, I ordered some for myself. I'm happy with how they stay up without sliding into my shoes and also the light weight.

My shoe size is a women's 9 1/2. I purchased these socks in a store in a size large by recommendation of the sales person. The sock felt was a little too loose and sloppy. I felt I had too much sock around my toes. So I purchased the size medium on Amazon and the sock is just a little to small. I like the feel of the arch compression but the sock tends to slip off my heel and my toes are scrunched. If you are on the very end of the size recommendation, I would not buy these socks. I think I would love them if I was an 8 1/2.

I really like the way these socks fit -- the do not slip down into my shoes, and they help my feet stay somewhat cooler than other socks do. My complaint is that the color (hot fushia) RUNS like crazy. I washed them before wearing them the first time (for tennis). The color nonetheless turned the tops of my formerly white tennis shoes -- and my feet -- pink. I have washed and worn them at least four times since, and they still leave my feet pink (and are progressively probably making the tops of my shoes more and more pink, though that is harder to tell). I should stop wearing them, but I am being stubborn because they were relatively expensive and I like the way they fit so much more than my other socks. I have another pair in a bright green color -- they do not have the same problem.

I have small, wide feet (size 6), and have always struggled with even high-end running socks stretching out, causing the heel to be somewhere by my ankle after only a few wearings/washings. The Feetures socks I bought quite some time ago still fit like new after many, many wears and washings.

    PROS:
    • Wide variety of colors to coordinate with your favorite running shoes
    • Amazing fit
    • Great support and cushion while running
    • I haven't seen a blister since I started running in these
    • Hold up great in the washing machine and dryer

    CONS:
    • Pricey, pricey, pricey
    • Run VERY small - I wear a size 6 (women's) shoe and the mediums fit just right. I made the mistake of ordering smalls prior, based on their size chart, and they are like children's socks.

Overall, highly recommend ... I just wish these were a bit more affordable.

Got a pair while training for first triathlon. I was told I shouldn't use a running sock for my cycling shoes, so I wanted to try these out. I love them. They fit snug and my feet can breathe in them. I will definitely get more pairs.
