It would be cool if the jars of grit were full rather than each containing a pound.. The coarser grits are heavier, so there is less volume in a pound. Since they are measured into the tumbler by the tablespoon, the coarse runs out while there is still half a jar of fine. If you order this kit, order an extra pound of coarse and half a pound of medium grit to go with it.

Product is wonderful but it would have been nice for the vendor to cut me some slack on shipping. I ordered 4 units at once and they charged full, individual shipping. When I got the bill I nearly freaked out! Luckily the product is stellar and makes up for it - great for hobby tumblers!

For the rock hound enthusiast ! I was very pleased with this purchase . All the jars are well labeled with each grit . If you are new at tumbling rocks be sure to have instructions because this kit does not come with any , you are buying bulk from the company . I highly recommend this product !

Products came well labeled, fast, securely packaged, and pricing is better buying this way than in small quantities. There's probably a cheaper way to buy but I haven't found it on Amazon.

The containers are east to get the material out of. I recommend getting a stainless measuring spoon or a plastic one would work as well. It really helps measuring the amount you want before removing the material from the container. Since some of it is so fine this might help eliminate wasted material.

What a major disappointment. I should have known better when Amazon asked me if I wanted to continue with the order, as shipping was almost 50% compared to the price.

After receiving the product, I was very concerned about the course grit. Normally it should be about a 60 grit and this stuff appeared to be about 120 grit, but I tried it anyway. Sure enough, after 3 days of tumbling the stones were not rounding at the edges, unlike my course grit from Thumler's using identical rocks.

I had to add more grit, as the medium/fine product from this company had already turned into about a 400-500 grit and was only shining rough rocks instead of rounding them. Normally, I can pull some of the softer rocks out in 3 to 4 days, depending on their hardness and how much I want to round them, but not with this product.

I was hoping Panadyne would do something about it when I contacted them, but instead all I recieved was an address to return this on my dime. So, I would have to spend another $13, for a total of $26 dollars, to get a refund of $26 dollars. I will be out $26 and have nothing but wasted time for myself and my tumbler. Panadyne will be out nothing, but a few tablespoons of grit. Not the kind of company I want to do business with.

I will just keep what I have and never buy this product again. This course grit does not match Thumlers and certainly is nowhere even close to an 80 grit, let alone 60. I'm not sure if they poured the wrong silicon or what, but I am not happy.

I ordered this polishing kit to go with a new grinder. The powders and kit arrived quickly and am pleased. I have not yet received the grinder to use with it, so am anxious to soon.

I have been using the mediums for three weeks. No problems with them at all. They are everything they should be.
