This is the BEST cereal on the market, hands down. My son has acid reflux and was put on soy formula and we were told to put rice cereal in his bottle. He was still spitting up and having belly issues. We found this cereal and he is like a whole new kid! I highly recommend this cereal to everyone!!!

My son loves this and cant seem to have enough of this. I always mix it with my breast milk. He loves it even with formula.
I called gerber and checked about the level of arsenic present in it ( Call me paranoid but I need to sort certain things before I give it my baby) So they they use California rice which is naturally low in arsenic and the levels that are found is far less than the ones specified by FDA. Hope this helps all those nervous mamas out there...

ordered 3 boxes of this cereal for my 6 months baby. when i opened one box yesterday, i found the expired date is october,2014, which meant there were only 2-3 months for us to eat all of them. the food is so close to the deadline, especially baby food. more important, we can not get the date information when we ordered.

I was born in July of 1976. Throughout my childhood and into my adult years I always enjoyed Gerber Baby Oatmeal. Somehow I never outgrew it. My mom used to prepare it for me, and I’d sweeten it with syrup and sometimes I’d throw in some raisins. What a warm and tasty breakfast!

When I left for college in the fall of 1994, I stopping eating Gerber Baby Oatmeal. I stopped cold turkey. I moved on, and to be honest, I forgot about it. Once in a while I’d remark to my friends that I ate baby oatmeal until I was 17 years old, and I’d get a few laughs.

Now, fast-forward to the year 2015. I’m 38 years old, living in Brooklyn, NY, and I’ve developed a passion for long distance running.

Runners often experiment with different types of food to eat before running, and I’ve heard that oatmeal is an excellent choice. Full of nutrients and easy to digest, oatmeal is almost pure carbohydrate, and is soft and light in taste. I decided to give it a try.

After scanning the aisles at my local supermarket I found several brands of oatmeal, but nothing from Gerber. (I checked the baby section too.) So I went to Amazon and placed my order.

Imagine my surprise when a rather large box arrived from UPS, weighing about 7 pounds. I could not imagine what this box contained. I grabbed my swiss army knife, sliced opened the cardboard shipping box, and pulled out another box— I had not ordered six *servings* of Gerber Baby Oatmeal, but rather six *boxes* of it!

What is a man to do with all of this Gerber Baby Oatmeal? I don’t have a baby, and I only eat it once it a while. I now have enough baby oatmeal to feed an army.

I am pleased to report that this oatmeal is as tasty and delicious as I remember it being back in the 80s and 90s.

3 reasons why I bought this on Amazon. 1. Free shipping. 2. Price - you're going to use all six so buying in bulk is the cheaper way to go. 3. I don't have to go shopping. Getting out of the house with a little one is always a task.

My son didn't particularly care for the taste of this, but after sprinkling some cinnamon on it he would eat it. Very nutritious and a good option to ease into solids. Didn't upset his stomach at all either. Plan on trying some of the flavored ones to see if he likes it better.

My baby has gone through about half of the 6 pack in just a couple of months. This is the original sealed product and is the preferred cereal over the now debatable rice version. If you don't believe me, Google it so you can decide for yourself. My baby will not be getting rice cereal anytime soon. Oatmeal is far better for your child anyway.
