These lifts are made to be adjustable according to the height you require to make up for a leg length difference. The heat created by the foot just from normal wear causes the layers to separate and slide around so that they no longer stack properly. My attempt to separate the layers and reattach in the correct position were useless as the material is so poorly made that it tore! What a waste of time and money. I've requested a refund but had no response thus far. Will only buy the simple piece rubber inserts b/c they last forever ever even if you can't buy them on Amazon.

I'd ordered some adjustable heel lifts from another source in a medium size according to instructions. They were slightly too big, so ordered these in the small size and they work perfectly in all my shoes. I ordered them twice because I don't want to have to pull them out of one pair of shoes to put in another. One of my legs is shorter than the other due to an arthritic hip and these help so much. I'm sure I'll be ordering more in the future.

These are ok, definitely initially help but since the product is assembled in layers they start coming apart and sliding in the shoe over time. Would be great if they could come in solid heights. I just occasionally go in and put them back together and they stay that way for a while.

This lift works well for me. I only need 1/8 inch in one shoe, so I remove two of the layers. For one pair of shoes, I needed a little extra heel height on both shoes so I put one layer in one shoe and two layers in the other. That has also worked well; no slippage between layers as some people had mentioned. The only thing that would make this lift better would be if it were a little longer. In some shoes, I feel the edge of the lift beneath my arch.

With a bit of tweaking, this product works quite well. I had used heel lifts in the past provided by my physical therapist. When she stopped carrying them, she suggested that I turn to amazon. I am a woman's size 8 with a medium width, and the small size lift fit me perfectly. I also need all 3 layers as the difference in length between my legs requires all three.
I put one in a tennis shoe and have had absolutely no problems in the couple weeks it's been there. I put another in a slip on boot with a small heel (no more than 1 inch), and that slight incline caused the top layer closest to my foot to begin sliding within a day of putting it in while the bottom 2 layers remained anchored to the shoe. I tried to anchor the bottom portion of the top layer with super adhesive sticky tape, but that was no good. I just continued to get sticky gunk on the bottom of my socks. This all making working on my feel incredibly painful.
Finally as a last resort, I anchored the top layer to the bottom 2 with a thin layer of gorilla glue and let it cure overnight. It hasn't budged since. little
Now that I know this little tweak, I'll definitely order again.
