Shortly after ordering the p300, I received it in the mail. Great....uh where's the battery? Let me check the page where I bought it from...oh yeah it says "battery sold separately". So, I ordered the battery. Once it arrived, I immediately unscrewed the empty plastic box in the unit and looked inside to find the "battery receptacle" inside.

The photo inside the user guide is outdated. A pdf version of the user manual found online, gave me an even less useful photo. The "battery receptacle" apparently is a small white female connector. It is not apparent, as it is in a three prong electrical outlet, which way the connector should go in.

Also, upon installing the battery, a red light on the unit flashed. And once the unit was plugged in with its charger, the red light glowed steadily. After a while, a green light glowed.

Although, this is how most units show that they need charge, are charging, is charged, it would be nice if the manufacturers included this information in their manual.

The green light turned off as soon as the unit's charger was unplugged. It turned on fine and played a video. Have not tested it for how long it can play. Aaxa's site says 60 minutes +.

So far, satisfied. I'm giving it 4 stars. I'd give it 5 if it could go for 90 minutes or more.

I installed the battery in my projector and it works good.. I had a little difficulty with the small connector but since you only do that once its not a concern. The projector is noticeably dimmer while operating on the battery but that's to be expected and the documentation also tells you that the projector have a lower lumens output on battery. I bought the battery as an addition because I travel a lot and don't always have the luxury of being close to a AC outlet. However I still think that AAXA should have included the battery into the base unit, I mean its a $420 projector... not cheap in my books..

Sadly I can't claim this as a thorough review but I wanted to at least give some response before I forget about reviewing the item. I tested the battery for maybe 20-25 minutes at the longest time but did so a few times. There is a notable difference in brightness between running on battery and while the device is plugged in but honestly there's nothing to complain about when it is dark. I would prefer the battery was external or more easily swapped considering it is only rated at 70 minutes which is far shorted than most movies. This is actually my second battery so I have an option of swapping during an intermission or something of the like. I could only imagine what it would be like needing more than 2 for an extended version of a Lord of the Rings movie. I tried the projector on battery with audio plugged into a Soundkick by Soundfreaq and had the entire setup wireless which seemed to work fine but was not put through the paces of a full move.

I'm pleased and glad I brought the battery. I had a presentation to make and the room had one spare outlet for the laptop. Well thank god I had the battery. The only draw back was I noticed it was a little dimmer than when it's plugger in. I guess it's to save on battery life but it worked and very inexpensive, 23.00 it's worth it.

The optional battery is not worth purchasing, since the maximum autonomy is about 70 minutes. It does not even run through a 90 minutes feature film.

Not worth buying.

Is good but the battery is for no more than 1hrs. The idea is at least should be for 2hrs that's the duration of a movie.
