In the early 1950s, Mike and Stanley Silverstein were strolling around New York when they saw a woman walk by in wood bottom sandals. They asked her about where she had bought them, and when she named a chic boutique in the city, the two brothers knew the time was right to launch their reinterpretation of the clog -- a sexy, platform slide with a wood stiletto-like heel. It was this simple slide that launched Nina Footwear. Today, Nina's sexy, well-priced shoes are widely featured in fashion magazines.     The boots seem to run small, they are narrow and the quality is not the greatest. It would be fine if the boots were priced at $20-$25. But I do not think it is worth $40+. I actually returned the Nina Smoothy boot and purchased the Nina Smooches boot. I bought Nina Smooches for my daughter last year and I like them a lot better. The quality is a "little" better and they do not run small. I had to search many different places to find them in her size. I ended up purchasing them directly from the Nina site.

    I do LOVE Amazon's return policy though. I never hesitate to buy anything from the Amazon site.

    My 7-year old daughter loves these boots. I find them too be way more shiny than expected and I'm afraid how well the outer material will hold up, but after a few days they are still okay. They fit nicely and she wore them for picture day. I just wish the material looked more like the photo instead of super shiny black.

    Worst boots my daughter has ever had. Arrived October 18 and today November 2 they are already a mess. Scuffed up, patent glossy material completely worn off of front of boots. Rubber sole coming apart from rest of the boot...maybe I can glue? I have ordered similar pairs from Kenneth Cole and loved them but did not have my daughters size this year. We have Nina brand sandals and they were great. I am going to have to purchase a new pair. I gave 1 star because they fit ok and looked great the first time she wore them.

    They fit my daughter great, but they didn't last long.

    I ordered these just before Thanksgiving 2014, and before Christmas 2014 there's already a piece of the faux leather off the toe.

    They are also very thin around the leg part so they are NOT meant for colder weather.

    Thse were for a 10 year old who is tough on them. They have survived the fall and winter and she still wears them. Down side is that she scuffed up the tops (by toes) very quickly.
