Great product, very good quality! Just installed it on my Nikon D200 & everything works as expected. I would've given it 5 stars except for one thing, it was very hard to align the power grip screw to my camera screw mount socket, it does not align perfectly somehow, but I got it done after a lot of maneuvering, but when it went in it looked perfect on the camera, other than that it's a great product & a great price!

This DSTE Pro MB_200 battery grip is perfect for my Nikon D-200. Does absolutely the same job as the original battery grip (from Nikon) , which was broken .The battery grip would've costed much more to repair than what I paid for this new DSTE battery grip.
So it comes to the point where you decide to go with the original one, or pay much less with an item that is up to par with the Nikon stuff...
It's your dime!...

Works well with my D200. Form, fit, and function are fine. Buttons all have a good feel to them. Mounting wheel stays loose after tightening. This may be a downside for some. It can rattle a little as camera is moved.

One note regarding using alkaline batteries: This is more a function of the camera than the grip. Using alkaline batteries the camera can show low battery after extended focusing, writing and such requiring a lot of current. The camera will then have to be power cycled to operate again. Per discussions on the net this may only be relevant in colder temperatures as alkaline batteries operate better above 78deg F (per articles). I am currently using the camera in 68deg F conditions. Using an EN-EL3E battery everything works fine. This was a disappointment for me as I wanted the option to use non-rechargeable batteries as a back-up power source. I have ordered two DSTE batteries and an additional charger to offset this condition. Obviously I will need to be more attentive to my habits regarding keeping batteries charged and ready.

I will recomend it to a friend. Works excellent for my needs, can't say if it performs well under heavy daily use because I'm a retired ocassional photographer. ( although I'm pretty sure it will ). Loose coupling ring doesn't bother me at all.
