I love ginger, and I couldn't wait to try these. But I don't like them. The ginger taste is too "mediciny" for me. The tin is nice, and the fact that Ice Chips are sugar-free is definitely great. But I won't be ordering this flavor again.

Both my dentist and my naturopath have told me about the benefits of Xylitol. I liked these so much, I went and bought the complete set from their website, just so I could try them all. I even took them into my dentist to share with his office and now they're going to look into getting it for some of their patients who have very dry mouth issues. I highly recommend trying these out if you're diabetic or concerned about reducing the amount of sugar you consume.

I must have gotten a better batch than some of the other reviewers--or perhaps I am used to a different kind of ginger.
I bought these because I have been struggling with dry mouth but need to steer clear of citrus (acid on teeth is a no-no) and peppermint (I love it but it bothers my reflux. My perio guy spotted the irritation when I was sitting in the chair. I had to admit I'd eaten half a box of xylitol peppermints because I didn't want to dirty my teeth before the exam but was very hungry).
These do have a gingerroot flavor--it tastes like powdered ginger that I use in my stir-fry sauce. My buddy, another hippie Midwesterner, also liked them because they tasted like real ginger--but then he bit down on one and had a small sinus issue for the next few minutes. A word to the wise: don't chew these. The taste is as intense as it is when you accidentally inhale powdered ginger root.
They also do not upset the reflux, keep my dry mouth happy, and help me keep my girlish figure (at nearly 50). OK, maybe that last is a bit of hyperbole, but you get the gist.

I tried the Ice Chips in Piña Colada flavor from a friend, and I really liked them. Since I really love ginger and Ginger chews, I was happy to find Ice Chips with ginger flavor on Amazon. But what a disappointment...! I tried two pieces, and then tossed the box in the garbage. What a nasty, chemical taste...ugh...

WOW, If you like ginger -real ginger - you will love this ice chip. It is strong and reminds me of the kind my grandmother(s) used to always have around the house. If you try hard, you may perceive a ginger flavor in this candy. Some reviewers said it had a chemical taste, I can sympathize with that, but the sharp, strong flavor of this candy (whatever it is) is bracing and welcome enough to easily finish the can. Although, I probably will be sticking to their other great flavors in the future.
