I personally love the look of a flip cover. When I purchased my Samsung Galaxy S4 last week, I decided that this time around I am going to purchase a flip cover and I ended up purchasing this product which is produced by Samsung. After receiving the product I was very impressed. The build and finish of the product is very solid. To install the cover, you need to open the back cover of your phone and insert the back cover that is provided by the product, which the flip cover is attached to. The back cover provided was not the same design as my Galaxy S4 Black Mist from T-Mobile, however the designs were almost identical and the quality is exactly the same. The flip cover aligns and covers the screen perfectly. Under the flip cover is microfiber, which is very gentle on the screen and holds against the screen very well. The flip cover is very slim and does not add any thickness to the phone. The appearance is gorgeous. The satin stitching is done in one direction which causes beautiful light reflection. The cover is very simple but the simplicity is wonderful.

However, nothing is perfect. Even though the cover is great, I have a few issues. The flip cover is very slim and seems to be very weak in durability. If someone were to bend the cover by mistake, it would be completely destroyed and ruined. For such a high price, I expected the cover to be made of plastic or a material more durable. Also, the cover does not stay on the screen and can move around while in your pocket. This causes a lot of debris and lint to enter inside the cover which ends up being stuck on the microfiber and that can lead to small scratches on the screen of your phone. The cover I received is a fake, and nothing like the real cover, very cheaply made, and smells so bad.
I tried it on, and after 3 time putting it in and removing it, it stopped working.
the real Samsung Galaxy Cover I saw in store at 29.99, was much better fit, and higher quality.

I am only reviewing the Cover I purchased from "Super Sell"... Had "Galaxy S IV" instead of "Galaxy S4" written..

Shame on this seller for trying to swindle hard-working people out of their money by peddling some street-vendor level garbage labeled as "official". I have little tolerance for these kind of people. Shame on them. Shame, shame, shame... This is not the Samsung Galaxy S4 Flip Cover. It is the epitome of something I find in a cardboard box on the floor at my local flea market; trash pretending to be something it isn't. This product is fake. This product is also clearly used. These are extremely unethical sales practices...

Item was sold by Amazon, not a third party vendor.
Called customer service to complain, but was rude and unapologetic.

I was a little skeptical on a case that claims to be genuine Samsung for $4.96 VS $39 but decided to go for it and really glad I did! The back on this case actually replaces the original S4 back and there was a perfect fit. The color was perfect as well. It looks genuine to me down to the packaging. I had a speck case but didn't like it because it did not offer any protection of the face while in my pocket. I was always conscious that there was nothing in my pocket like car keys, coins, etc. that could scratch the glass. For this reason, I wanted to go with a flip case that protected the front, especially while in my pocket. I feel much better now and don't have to worry about clearing out my pockets in order to carry the phone. The other feature I really like about this case is the fact that it does not take away from the elegant look of the S4 like many cases I considered. I was struck by the elegance of the S4 and a bit disappointed how the case can destroy this elegant look. Now I have the best of both worlds - Elegance with a bit of protection.

I will offer some caution in that the case is not designed to give you the same level of protection as an Otto Box or similar. I'm very careful with my electronics and would rather keep a minimalist facade as opposed to a thick tank type look that destroys the aesthetics of the design. So I'm willing to accept that if I drop my phone on a concrete floor, there is probably going to be damage. Be sure to keep this is mind if your a like one of my daughters who constantly drops her phones.

I guess the price was too good to be true. The case is not real Samsung and you can tell because the phone is the Galaxy S4, and the case says Galaxy S IV. I have been using the case for less than a week and it is already falling apart on the sides. I can't wait to purchase another case. What a waste of money!

I like the flip case but Samsung missed out one major problem, the flip cover blocks the volume button, makes it kind of hard to press the volume button. U would have to put ur hand around the top to press the volume button
