I have another "cooling towel" that I use but it has a honeycomb texture on one side that I thought was a tiny bit rough. I got this SafetyGirl towel to try it out. It is indeed very soft, almost plush feeling when soaked but it tends to dry out more quickly than the other textured towels and thus requires re-wetting much more frequently. It is a good size and does feel nice to wipe your face. I keep it in a ziplock in the frig or ice chest.

I ordered a couple of these last week because a friend was wearing one and she said it really helped. I've been wearing this now for a few days and it really does bring town your temp. We live in the high desert and there's been a heat advisory for days; I've been wearing one in the house. Also, the bedroom a/c was out for a few days and I put both of these over me at night and it made a difference (along with fans) so I could actually sleep.

All you do is soak the towel in water (and here the cold water is warm), then put it on and it works as an evaporative cooler. It usually lasts for hours. When it dries up it looks like it might break, but just put it back in water and the water soaks in making the towel soft and absorbent again. I'm wearing one right now as I'm writing this review. I would definitely recommend these!

P.S. The towel is 31" x 13"

I have several PVA towels, but needed a pink one for a themed 10k and thought this one would work. I guess technically it works, but it looks terrible! The edges look burned or worn to the threading. Looks worse right out of the box than ones I've had for years! Sent it back to Amazon.

When it's dry this towel is very stiff, so that the first time I took it out to use it I thought it must be a bad joke. I went ahead and soaked it, however, and it turned smooth and wonderfully soft. It's proven very helpful in keeping cool on really hot summer days. It works best if it's either against your skin or over thin clothes.

I have MS and anything that makes me feel cooler helps me feel much healthier, so I'm pretty enthused about this towel, especially since it costs a faction of what the cooling vests do.

It does help cool you down, but takes a little while to get cool after you wet it. We learned to wet it first then exercise and then use it, that way it is already cool. It is very stiff once it dries, I haven't been able to get it back in the holder because it is so stiff.

As with most cooling towels you must be aware it has a rubber like texture but does a great job of cooling you off. Comes in a nice plastic case if you want to store it after it dries.
