When my daughter first transitioned to cups I was set on getting her only the soft tip sippy cups....Bad idea. After a few days of chewing on them they would always leak. Now I swear by these cups- She throws them around and chews on them and they are still leak proof. I also appreciate that the replacement inner nozzle (that makes it leak proof) can be purchased separately.

I absolutely LOVE these sippy cups. In fact, I've ordered a bunch of these and gotten rid of all other types of sippy cups. The valve has a very simple design, which makes it easy to remove and clean. I put them in the dishwasher, and they hold up well. There is no such thing as a truly spill proof sippy cup, but this is the closest I've found BY FAR. 99.9% of the time they don't let out a drop, but If thrown on the ground with enough force and hit just right, the valve will pop out. Even in that case, it's only a small leak, not a giant mess.

Another reviewer gave this product 2 stars because her daughter couldn't chug her milk. The cup does limit the flow and requires suction to get the liquid to come out. This is not a problem for either of my children, but if your child is used to drinking large quantities quickly, with little to no suction, then this may not be the cup for you. You can, however, remove the valve to get an unrestricted flow. It won't give you as much leak protection, but for an older child who mostly keeps the cup upright, it works nicely.

I am a big fan of all Nuk products. I prefer these hard sippy cups over the ones that say they wont leak but still do. I love the colors and its more age appropriate for 18months plus. I was very pleased.

We have purchased all kinds of cups trying to find something my 1 1/2 yr old son liked, didn't have a ton of pieces, easy to clean, cool looking, didn't spill, made in usa, and free of bpa and other bad stuff we know of. I bought this for my toddler to drink milk from. It took him a little while before he could really use it on his own. You have to tilt it back really far before anything comes out. I had to help him at first. We only use it at the table, haven't taken it on any stroller trips. I am pretty sure it will leak if left on its side in the stroller or diaper bag. It has survived multiple throws from the high chair quite well, however this is when I notice a few leaks when it's on its side. Very cute design, washes in dishwasher well. I haven't really found a sippy cup that doesn't leak, so overall this is a really good one.

These cups are great. We bought them because my daughter will destroy any spout that is not hard plastic (she likes to chew on her cups). I love that these cups assemble easily (3 parts--none complicated, none fragile) and wash easily. The assembly ease of this cup is key--we have a ton of other kinds of cups with various spouts and straws and I get so frustrated with some of those. We have about 8 of these cups now. My 3-year-old and my 16-month-old both use them. They are spill proof (as long as you remember to install the white piece that goes underneath the spout, inside the cup). I am happy.

I have tried several different kinds of sippy cups for my toddler and these are my favorite. No more having the lid pop off if the cup is thrown on the floor! One or two drops of liquid might come out, but no more huge milk spills. I feel safe allowing my child to drink from these cups in our carpeted living room. I can also stick these in the diaper bag to go out and not worry about leaks.

The only time we have had an issue with leaking is if the cup was thrown hard and the valve wasn't inserted correctly and tightly. If the valve pops out, this lets liquid come out of the spout. But as I mentioned, it's only if we didn't make sure the valve was inserted properly.

I also like that these cups are easy to clean. Just unscrew the lid, pop out the valve, and stick everything in the dishwasher. If the cup had milk in it, I like to rinse out the valve just to make sure the little rubbery part doesn't get milk stuck in it. I think these are much more sanitary than some cups that have lots of soft plastic and straws for gunk to get trapped inside.

In case you lose the valves, there are replacement ones available so you don't have to buy the whole cup set again.

I think these sippy cups are a great invention and recommend them to others.
