I've been hesitating about this particular work, but as soon as the band made a new one, I felt the necessity to have this one, and now I really like it, Carcass is one of those historical metal bands, now they're back and you can't miss this one.
And it was a very good buying experience, good communication, the price was high, it took a while to arrive, but in general everything went right.

AWESOME,AWESOME,AWESOME......"SWANSONG" IS HIGHLY UNDERRATED. WHEN OTHER METAL BANDS IN THE MID-NINETIES WERE TRYING TO CASH IN AND MAKING RISKY AND/OR SHODDY ALBUMS THAT HAD A GRUNGE TYPE INFLUENCE TO THEM BECAUSE OF THE GRUNGE ERA...... WELL, CARCASS WERE FLAT OUT KILLING IT AND STAYING TRUE TO THE STYLE OF ORIGINAL THRASH/DEATH MUSIC! THIS IS THRASH, DEATH, HARDCORE AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN THAT'S ALL WRAPPED UP TOGETHER TO MAKE A KILLER METAL ALBUM. THIS ALBUM ALONG WITH THEIR RECENT 2013 ALBUM SURGICAL STEEL IS SOME OF THE MOST DIVERSE TECHNICALLY CONTROLLED THRASH/DEATH MUSIC IN THE BUSINESS! IT'S A SHAME TO METAL MUSIC THAT CARCASS DON'T GET THE RECOGNITION THAT THEY WELL DESERVE. YOU RARELY HEAR ABOUT THEM AND IT'S JUST LIKE ANOTHER REVIEWER SAID "WHERE'S THE REVIEW'S FOR THIS AWESOME ALBUM?"...... COM ON' POSERS.

First I'm shocked that there isn't a thousand reviews for this album. This is without a doubt one of the most "controlled" musically releases from Carcass and a personal favorite of mine. Though its removed from its grind/gorecore origins, Swansong has some seriously cool riffs, which even remind me a little of Exhorder type of fare. Another thing I like about this album is the lyrics, which aren't nearly so gore related, sort of breaking out of that mold and becoming its own standalone thing. If you like melodic metal that you can bang your head to, definitely get this.

The energy and flow of this brutal metal masterpiece will grip you from start to finish! Even somehow better than Heartwork, this album just crushes everything. Grim yet exhilarating, it's an amazing death-grind experience--ENJOY!!!
