I bought 2 to use in our laundry room to hang clothes as they come out of the washer and dryer and there is plenty of room for a full load. For the weight these units can hold I would recommend securing them to wall studs, not using the supplied anchors. Also, use your own screws as the heads of the supplied screws spun off during installation even though an appropriately sized pilot hole was drilled first, very aggravating. I recommend the manufacturer put a clearance hole in the support brace where the lower screws hits it, just as I did, so when the unit is collapsed it will rest flat against the wall no matter what screws you use.

If anyone saw my prior review, I was a bit hasty. I was able to open it, but it took me about an hour to figure it out. You have to press the button and then pull on the lower hinged piece. I haven't put it up yet, as I need a drill. My husbands drills are all unusable. I guess I should get on Amazon and buy him one! Anyway, it seems well build and sturdy. Can't wait to install it.
Finally installed the Hanger Jack this weekend, 9/22. I love it. I hung it on the door frame so that I wouldn't have to find a stud or use the toggle bolts. It is near my dryer and it folds down, with one hand, out of the way. I'm thinking about getting another to hang above my dryer to hold empty clothes hangers.

I'm tired of having my husband's dress shirts hanging on every doorknob in the house each time they're washed, and I spent way too much time searching online for the best solution to the problem. Our laundry room is tiny and opens against a wall so there isn't room to hang anything on the door. Once I found this, I knew that I would have to get it. It just took a while to talk myself into the price.

Now that we have it hung up, I have to admit that it was a good purchase. It arrives folded, and I wasn't able to unfold it on my own. My husband was strong enough, but I do think that they may need to address that.

My only real complaint is the price. I think that it should be priced at about $20 or two for $30. If I could have found another solution then the price would have kept me from buying this. Unfortunately, there really doesn't seem to be anything else like this that can hold so many shirts and then fold away.

I bought the Hanger Gator recently. It was not only easy to install but solves a problem I have had in my tiny laundry room forever. I was hanging my clean clothes from the door frame, cabinet knobs or any place I could find. Often I'd find my clothes laying on the floor getting wrinkled and soiled all over again!! No More!! The Hanger Jack holds my hangers easily and neatly. AND, when not in use, it folds nicely and unobtrusively against the wall. I'll probably be buying at least one more for my basement for out of season clothes and one in our entry hall for guests coats...

What drew me to HangerJack was that it not only holds up to 50 lbs. but it folds conveniently against the wall when you don't need it. Most of the hooks I have seen at the hardware stores seem to only hold a few pounds each or they are bulky.

To install the HangerJack, my husband simply had to drill the Hanger Jack into studs into our garage and we were all set. Installing it into a stud maximizes its holding power. It took just a few minutes basically. We haven't needed to fold it down but I love that I have that option available. We were able to hang my heavy stroller on one and a lighter weight stroller and chair on the other. I would love like five more of these! They extend out 24 inches and has ridges so you could hang things easily on it, especially things with handles. I see uses though all over my house for the HanegrJack, not just my garage!

This item is exactly as stated! Finally, an item does exactly what it says. Very sturdy. I personally put way more clothes then their are indents for. I loaded it up. I will say, that if you do not put it in the wall where a stud is, this will not work. Took minutes to install. Would highly recommend to anyone with lots of laundry to do. Works as claims. Very handy in the laundry room. I installed it using the included screws and anchors. It is very unsteady. There were no studs in the area where I need it, so I will be mounting a piece of wood behind it to make it more sturdy.
