If you purchased the kwick-kiln on Amazon, that you use 2 propane torches with, these are exactly the crucibles that originally came with it. The titles for these crucibles are a bit confusing, I have no idea how they came up with the names because I know for a fact that 10 oz of material could not fit inside this crucible, nor do they weigh 10oz on their own. The most I have felt comfortable melting has been 3oz in them. But these are still great little crucibles especially if you have the kwik-kiln.
One word of advise, to get the most out of your crucible, heat it slowly then after you've made your pour, put it back into the kiln, and cool it slowly by slowly decreasing the heat until you only have one torch turn on low, and leave it there on low for at least a minute. When I did that with mine, my crucibles lasted at least 2x-3x longer than a quick heating and cooling.

Works great! I used it in a custom induction heating machine that I made. Graphite is an exceptional susceptor. This means that it is very good as transfer electromagnetic energy into heat. This is also why most crisper sleeves for microwavable food are made with graphite.
