The pitcher is sturdy plastic. The lid fits tightly -- if you want to shake your lemonade instead of stirring it, it won't splash or spill. The lid can be adjusted to seal, pour, or sieve. It makes a full two quarts without having to fill to the brim.

The pitchers were wrapped in plastic and shipped in a sturdy box. Good value, as with all Rubbermaid products I've used.

Well-made, well-balanced, the clever lid fits well and "clicks" into place as you rotate it to either store, pour or strain the contents. I bought this pack of two because they fit into the door of our refrigerator easily. I bought another 1-gallon version to mix ice tea, then decant it into these smaller pitchers. I've seen pitchers like this one in the past, but these are far better, more modern versions, the material is of better quality, the handle is more comfortable -- and thermal shock from hot tea won't cause them to shatter like glass!

If you have ever owned a Rubbermaid pitcher before and liked it, then you will not be disappointed by this one. We needed some new ones and we like the see through plastic so we can tell which has what in it.

We love that this is slightly taller and thinner than the older models they made, because it utilizes fridge space better.

We don't like that the top is very loose. It is not just ours. We bought several of these over this past year. As adults, we know to be careful but if you are forgetful or have kids, I guarantee you are going to have the top come off and the contents spill out all over the floor. I almost did it last week.

Overall, we are pleased but would definitely like to see a nice, firm, tight holding lid on the next version.

The lid fits securely, the handle is easy to hold and I love that it can go in the dishwasher. My only problem is that if you fill it to the 2 qt. marker a few inches from the top of the pitcher, you have to make sure that you keep it completely upright. I typically make up several pitcher fulls of various flavors of water to keep in the fridge at one time and if it tips even the slightest bit when I go to put it in/take it out of the fridge when it's full, then I end up with water all over the fridge/floor, so I just don't fill them to the marker.

I put the lid on the top rack in the dishwasher, furthest away from the heated dry. But still changed the shape so seal is not perfect on the pitcher. That means you best hand wash this item.
