I got these from September's Love with Food deluxe box and I'm not all that impressed. They do manage to avoid some of the major allergens (no dairy, wheat, shellfish, peanuts, soy, tree nuts, etc.), although they're processed in a shared facility (with wheat, milk, and soy). They're vegan, kosher, halal, and non-GMO, and I do like that they don't contain artificial flavors or dyes.

However, they're not *really* veggie chips. They're made from potato flour and potato starch. There are teeny portions of various extracts (tomato, beet, turmeric, spinach) for color, but they're essentially Pringles. They are very low in protein and fiber as they are more than half starch (16 grams of starch in a 28 gram serving).

Sodium is relatively low (180 mg or 8%), but I actually think these would benefit from more sodium. They're not salty enough. They're not terrible, but I'm just not that excited by them, either. And they don't count as eating vegetables because the weight of vegetable ingredients is so low overall.

These are wonderful in every way with one small exception. The ingredient list states sugar, which is probably processed, so an unhealthy no-no. However, there is only one gram in 21 chips. This is such a small amount that it probably wouldn't hurt most people. We wish this otherwise fabulous company would use cane juice or stevia. Because it does contain some processed sugar, we will not recommend it in our health blog. We give our many readers only the best advice for great health.

If you want to get veggie chips, I am telling you that these are not. I bought these "veggie" chips from another vendor, but these chips are the same. Like other people mentioned, they are not veggie chips, so the name is completely misleading. The chips are made from potato flour, and a little bit of veggie flour is used to give the chips some color - some of the chips are slightly colored to simulate, though unsuccessfully, the look of some vegetable , but the taste of all the chips regardless of color is the same: they taste like low quality potato chips. Yuck!

If you prefer Pringles to actual potato chips, this is the snack for you. Ingredients are Potato flour, Potato starch, safflower oil, salt, sugar, tomato paste, turmeric, spinach powder and beetroot powder. No actual vegetables in this one. I guess technically the chips are "100% All Natural" and "100% Vegan," but to my taste they are 100% YUCCK.
