This tatting shuttle comes with two bobbins - and has the small hook on the front, which I love! I dislike the sharp, pointed tips because they scrape me and shred the thread more easily than the hook - that and the pointed tip can't undo knots so well, where as the hook can.

I ordered two more in two other colors :)

This shipped form supermart and it arrived quickly :)

I would highly recommend this product - just be careful when you are tatting to not let the hook grab the yarn as you're working... you get used to it ;)

Pretty color exactly what I ordered. Wish my hands worked like they did 30 years ago lol. I bought this as a replacement to the one I have had like-- forever. Well it doesn't work any better or worse than the 30 yr old one. I think I will try the needle tatting now. (They say it is easier on the hands.) This is a good tool and if you are looking for something authentic this would definitely fit the bill.

The best shuttle for tatting. I love the mini crochet hook and I love the bobbin that feeds thread. I have had no knots since I have been using this type of shuttle. I recommend this for all tatters and especially beginner tatters.

It looks nice, but is basically unusable because of the spool. The spool is pushed into the shuttle. It is made so that is is very hard to turn and pull the thread from it. Someone else had suggested clicking the spool a few times, but this didn't work for me. To get any thread from I had to wind it around my wrist and pull pretty hard; I was afraid I would break my thread.

Took me a minute to figure out how to get the bobbin out, but it's a good size, has an extra bobbin, and the base can be used for placing the bobbin on to wind thread quickly. All in all, good for tatting!
