Purchased this to replace the stock fin on my wife's 10' Isle paddle board. It came with a thruster setup that we don't need for flat water paddling. She has found that this FCS fin gives her better stability and more strokes per side before switching. Great price.

This does not fit my 11' Vec SUP. The fin box on my board is as standard as it gets but this FCS 9" Touring fin does not fit. The silver peg at the base is offset (not sure if this is on purpose) and does not catch in the fin box. So much for fitting "most boards". Pretty disappointed needless to say. Not sure if it worth returning as I'll have to pay shipping. BUYER BEWARE.

The fin fits perfectly. When added to a planing style board, it makes a huge improvement in tracking over a stock fin. It is a great way to get most of the performance of the Slater Trout styled fin, at a fraction of the price. I used to switch sides after 6 strokes, now I get 10 per side.

I chose this fin because of the FCS logo believing I was getting a quality fin. It's true you get what you pay for. It is an inexpensive entry level plastic fin. For what it is, it's good enough. It fits snugly in my fin box when using the included shims. However, being plastic, the fin has a good deal of flex. I notice the flex in a little bit of wobble when I paddle. I am an aggressive paddler so with someone who is just toddling around it may not be noticed. I wouldn't surf this fin (but then neither is it a surfing shape) do to the amount of flex.

I use my SUP primarily for flatwater touring on lakes. I replaced a smaller fin on my board with the FCS 9" touring fin and felt there was an improvement in stability with no apparent loss of speed. The sweptback angle allowed me to pass through some seaweed reasonably well. I'm very satisfied with the fin. Another reviewer mentioned that his fin arrived with the pin in the base off-center. Mind did too, but it's just a pressure fit so a couple of light taps moved it to a central position and I had no problem installing it. I'm very happy with this, although another contender would be the same shape fin in a flexible material as I am occasionally in shallow water with logs and worry about breaking the fin.

The small base plate the hold-down screw was wider than the transverse slot in my board, so I had to insert it on edge and slide it into position in the slot before the inserting the hold-down screw. Other than that minor inconvenience, installation was easy. I am a relative amateur SUP paddler, so I can't speak to high-performance demands, but the fin seems well made and suits my paddling needs perfectly.

Took it out yesterday and the difference was night and day - I literally never had to switch paddling sides unless I actually wanted to initiate a turn or change my course!
