This jacket is light, yet fairly warm at the same time. Depending on where you live you can use this jacket in the winter, although you may need an extra layer underneath. It's very comfortable and it fits relatively well. Keep in mind, in my experience with Helly Hansen the sizes run a bit small. I normally where a medium and had to order a large.

it's a good fitting, well built jacket at a reasonable price. I live in Michigan and wear this during everyday activities during the winter months even. it's got 60grain insulation so remember it's pretty light weight and comfortable. if I'm working outside on a 20°f or below then yea I grab my heavy coats, but this is a workhorse for everything else. did I mention it's comfortable? the reason I believe it functions well is because it is excellent at blocking rain and wind, while providing good ventilation for your body. all in all it looks good on you and functions just as well.

I love the fit. This looks great on me. I sleeves are a little longer so this fits me better. It's good for most weather conditions. I put a fleece vest on underneath when it's below 40. There's velcro above the zipper and on the sleeves. I'm not totally crazy about that but the sleeves I set to a medium size and I can still slip my hands out without loosening the velcro. Overall, this is a great jacket.

I have several nice rain jackets, but none of them are all that useful when the temperature is in the 30's or 40's without wearing a lot of layers underneath. This jacket is very warm considering how light weight it is. It is perfect for cold mornings with rain in the forcast later in the day. It's hard to tell from the photos, but the outer material is more like a woven fabric than plastic, so that I have been wearing it even when rain is not in the forecast. My only complaint is the hood. Even with the multiple adjustments that can be made, I don't think it fits all that well. It's a relatively small gripe, and I don't think it is worth deducting a star.
