Look at the protein content and compare it to other brands. I took my cat off Science Diet, which I thought was the best I could give him, and put him on Iams and within a month he lost two pounds. He was fat. He was fat and I didn't want to torture him into losing weight.Science Diet is full of corn flour and Iams is full of protein. Cats eat meat, not corn. Duh, some science in that diet.

Iams has made my cat healthy, sleek, and energetic.

The best cat food out there in my opinion. I have two feral cats that I hand raised from kittens and both have never eaten anything but IAMS cat food. Both cats are healthy and active and seem to enjoy any flavor. IAMS seems to work like Miracle Grow plant food for cats. My male feral cat is 19 pounds with no belly fat and my female feral cat grew to almost 13 pounds though she is a little pudgy but still extremely active. I also notice a huge difference in the condition of both cats fur from other cats that I feed other foods. Both of my cats have a beautiful soft shinny coats of fur.

I used to insist on feeding my cats food that was twice as expensive because I was very conscious of the ingredient list. I did not want to buy anything that was offered in grocery stores, ever, but all three of my cats always, ALWAYS had runny poo that as we all know virtually ruins carpet. We switched to this because we needed to save money somewhere, and although I hated doing it at the time I find now that it has solved the runny poo epidemic. I admit it's super convenient being able to order it online in bulk, too. So while I prefer a better ingredient list, the cats like it and so do their hineys.

Just recently tried this product out with my kitty and he loved it.the thing that helped me choose Iams is The first thing on the ingredient list is chicken. I plan on making Iams the main meal for my cat from now on.

I really hope the newer ones coming out will continue to be gluten free. It allows us to keep our cats and not have to worry about cross reactions from the pets. I am also glad to see it offered with Amazon Prime and coupons. You can not get any better then that when delivery is to your front door.

Here Kitty Kitty, no wait I don't have to say that now, once they hear the bag they come running! I have fed our cats Iam's products for years and realized that it was time for the change since they are now all 11 and older. They loved Iam's Indoor Hairball and Weight control (blue bag) so was a little worried about the switch but to my surprise they took to this right away, no mixing of the old and new to get them use to the Senior Plus. Since I had some of the Indoor left I put a bowl of that out along with a bowl of the new Senior and they never wen't back to eating the Indoor again!
