This binder does everything I need it to, and more. Full disclaimer - I have purchased well over 10 of these binders over the past year and a half. I can get a bit obsessive when it comes to organization and have found that these binders allow me to professionally and reliably organize my material. The only complaint I can possible come up with is how the binders are marketed - I don't think they do a good job of letting you know that the item has a small rectangular plastic sleeve along the spine with a note card in it that allows you to label the binder (really handy if you have as many as I do all in black). The main reason I like this binder is because it has that label viewer. Also, the binder has the premium sturdy Avery rings that allow for maximum usage. By far, the best high capacity binder I have bought on Amazon (and I had bought many other variations on Amazon before stumbling on this gem).

I just received this a few minutes ago, and I'm honestly a bit disappointed.
I bought this to hold my notes from nursing school. It's definitely large enough. I think I'll be able to fit an entire semester in there. I don't drag my big binder back and forth to class, but I still wanted something sturdy, since I have four children. The binder does seem quite strong, and the rings are very easy to operate, even with just a one-hand trigger.
However, I did not realize that the interior of the binder is not entirely covered. The front cover is significantly more narrow than the back cover, leaving an area about 2.5 inches wide where the interior of the binder is exposed. Anything on the rings will still be covered, if you're using standard printer-sized paper, but items in the pockets will be exposed if they shift at all.
I can still use it, but it's not ideal, and I would not have spent $25 on this had I known about the cover. I would like to see the picture of the binder updated to make the front cover's size more obvious. From the current photo, you can't see the size difference.

I have used this binder for about a year now. It has been "covered" accidentally by books weighing some 20 pounds total, and it has yet to be damaged or stop working in any way. I got this thing for one of my classes, but it is so reliable I plan on using it for personal artwork & photos. I've grown to trust it very much.

I just received my first Avery 4" binder with one touch EZD.

the EZD tab is easy to use so it opened easily to put my brokerage statements in it.

I filld the binder completely since I had years to statements to store. As the binder got full, the top ring would not come together fully. This was not an issue when the binder was not full. I believe the issue may be the strength that the rings come together is not that strong so a full binder puts enough stress on it for the top ring to not come together. If they made this binder like the ones when i was a kid that had hard to pull apart rings, I think this binder would have all the rings join when the binder is full.

I like this binder enough to order another binder and take out a few statements so that the first binder will have all the rings come together and I can start filling the next one!

Let me begin by saying this binder IS the best fit for my needs. I'm using it to store sheets of trading cards, and with the way I'm grouping them, I needed a 5 inch (or larger) binder. The D-ring construction is great to prevent card edges from curling, and it lets the pages all rest flat. The binder itself has a very sturdy construction as well.

However, I'd argue that the most important part in any three ring binder is the rings, and unfortunately, that's where this binder falls short. Is it convenient to have a "one touch" opening mechanism? I suppose. However, this means the rings are actually pretty flimsy feeling. They get the job done, but I need to be very careful when turning pages, or else they'll catch and pull the rings apart a little bit. I'd much rather have rings that require two tabs to open but stay closed and lock tightly than the "ease" of this.

I really hate it when pages get trapped between the end of the rings and the back cover. This design solves it 2 ways. First, the ring unit is attached to the back of the binder instead of the middle. Second, the ring curve ends at the top and becomes an almost straight down rod. So your paperwork lies flat. You just flip the top cover open and everything is nice and stacked for presentation. When you close and carry it, the pages do not slide to the ends of the rings.

I love having 2 pockets on both the front and back covers. This lets me separate different items that I want handy for showing at a presentation.

The "one touch" feature is so much easier than using my fingers to pry open the rings.

By not having my dividers stick outside of the covers, they don't get bent or soiled.

Other competitors have used some of these features but this is the first time I've seen them all combined in one product. Thank you Avery.

I have been using this in a restaurant to hold over a hundred recipes in clear ring binder sleeves. The outside has held up well to constant daily use but the rings' springs are too weak to hold together, causing the pages to come out regularly; mostly the center. My fix is to hold the center ring while I turn the pages. The plastic page holders on the front and back covers have surprisingly stayed in tact despite the dozens of pages being stuffed into them frequently. I hope to learn of a binder that is guaranteed to hold together.
