We bought this in the Large size for our 45lb med-large boxer/Australian Cattle Dog mix...and she looks fantastic in it...but it is just a little too snug...the kids worry that it hurts under her front legs (dog armpits)...so when we put her in it, it's only for a short period of time to prance around the house in...then hang up her hero costume to be ready to fight another day. :)

My girls were fighting over who was going to wear this. It was too long for them so I cut the skirt shorter. The material is perfect for a trim because it doesn't fray at all so, NO hemming necessary. Stretchy material made for a form fitting but comfortable fit.
*it doesn't have a hole for a collar or harness so I just clipped a small hole for one.

A really cute dress. Good quality product. I bought a medium for my Jack Russell who is 15" around the chest and weighs 12 pounds. The skirt was a bit too long but easy to shorten. The small may have fit better but it was better to be a little large than too small.

This costume worked pretty well for our one year old Weimaraner. She weighs about 50 lbs and the x-large was a perfect fit (thought it would be huge since a skinny 50lb Weim is hardly an XL in the dog world!), the material has some stretch so it conformed to her shape and the Velcro closures were very effective. Really cute and she didn't seem to mind wearing it! Only negatives: the skirt hangs a bit long, so if your dog isn't really tall she'll keep stepping on it and pull it off, also, the shoulder straps ate a bit wide set, so we had to tie them together under her chest to keep them from slipping off her shoulders.

I read one review that said the item they received is not what is pictured so I was nervous about getting it but decided to anyway. It's exactly as pictured - a shiny dress, no legs. I have a 12 lb Chihuahua and got a medium since that's what I usually have to get her and it was a little big. I thought that since it was only a little big I could just use Velcro to make it more snug but I ended up getting a small and that fits her perfectly. If you do get this make sure you use the size chart to get the correct size since the sizes don't seem to be the same as other labels. The one design flaw is that the skirt goes all the way around and seems to be too long underneath. Overall I recommend this costume. It is really cute and everyone loves this. I haven't ever seen a costume this great inside a store. Stores always seem to have very generic, plain cotton costumes unlike this one.
