Upgrade your practice amp!

Great way to upgrade your practice amp. Get rid of that paper-like sound and buzz from most stock speakers. The Jensen is bright and warm with a good harmonic tone, very pleasing to the ears.
Easy install too, just match the impedance or ohms to your current one. 4 screws out, replace, retighten. Make sure your positive and negative are matched correctly (there is a + and a - to match). Easy!! You won't regret it!

Great speaker for Tweed-like tones.

Great speaker for a small amp/cabinet. I needed a small amp and speaker in my office, to play my guitar during bouts of boredom. I built a 12" x 12" maple cabinet for it and use a Hotone Mojo Diamond to power it. If you closed your eyes you would think you were hearing a small Fender Tweed from the 50's. Highly recommend this combo!

I was thinking about buying a new amp but instead replaced the factory speaker in my Mustang 1 v.2 with this. Wow! What a difference! The tone is so much crisper and cleaner. It was well worth it and much cheaper.

Excellent speaker, replaced a 8" in the Fender Mustang 1. Didn't even bother to recut the hole in the baffle board. Just screwed it in. With a half open back, plenty of air for it to breath and do its thing. Sound great..

Great vintage sounding speaker for low wattage amps!

I did my homework before purchasing this speaker and for the money it sounds great! I am using it with a 5 watt tube amp and it has great blues and classic rock guitar sounds. Responds to effects pedals very well. It has just the right amount of loud for gigs if the amp is mic'd. Even with just a 5 watt amp it is very loud when practicing but just right for gigs.

I listened to a lot of vintage alnico speaker demos and really like the sound of this ceramic better. I recommend you give it a try!

Good replacement for a little practice amp

I replaced the battered and cheap factory speaker in an old Peavey practice amp with this Jensen. Instant improvement, better than when the amp was new. Brings out the chime in my Strat, had to add a bit of mid to the scoop tone setting I normally use. Very happy with this speaker.

Good replacement for a Gibson GA 5

I bought this speaker to replace the original Jensen in my '61 Gibson GA 5. I had to check very carefully to be certain the 8 ohm was the correct model, and it was and is. 1961 was right on the cusp of the amplifier manufacturers switching from 4 to 8. I put the speaker in on a Friday evening, and I am most impressed with the sound. Very good mids and uppers, decent bottom....it is, after all, an 8 inch speaker. If you make the change, keep the old Jensen and store it in the box the new Jensen used. I think you'll like the sound of this speaker. It rarely happens, but this is new and improved.
