The Rawlings Vertical Storage Organizer is a quick and easy way to contain balls, bats, hockey and lacrosse sticks, and even a helmet or two. At only 18" wide x 48" tall, with a depth of 9", it's compact, yet functional.

Installation of this product does require a stud finder like this one: Zircon StudSensor e50 Electronic Stud Finder and pre-drilling pilot holes into the studs where the included mounting screws will be placed. Eight screws and washers, as well as the organizer are what you will receive when you order this item. The screws thread through the grommets on the organizer and attach it to the wall of your choice. (This can be accomplished by one person, but ideally it's a two person job.)

Alternatively, you could use the two included bungie-type cinches to hang this on a chainlink fence at the dugout during practice. This would not be the ideal installation, but it would work. You would want to leave it empty, and load it up after you got it to your location for easy transportation and installation.

The suggested weight limit for this product is 25 pounds. Frankly, it would be tough to load up more than that considering the dimensions of it.

It's build quality is very good. Nice and sturdy, the nylon backing and seams are nicely finished. There were no loose threads or weak spots in the item I received. The nylon mesh pockets are also well constructed and tough. In the bottom portion of the organizer you have room for 18 baseballs and 4 bats, or any variation of stick-type equipment and balls you desire.Read more ›

I use this wall mounted organizer for my tripods, monopods, light stands, and other camera equipment. I'm delighted to finally get my bigger camera gear all in one place and neatly organized. This organizer gives me quick and easy access to my gear when I need them -- and when I'm done with them, I can put them away just as quickly and easily - and neatly. It doesn't take up a lot of wall space and it helps to free up some of my floor space!

The organizer comes with all the hardware you need for wall mounting. Once securely mounted, it will be able to handle a fair bit of weight. It comes with 3 bungee cords that work in tandem with nylon loops to keep your equipment secured. There are 3 rows of daisy chained nylon loops located 1/4, halfway, and 3/4 of the way from the bottom of the organizer. The organizer comes with 4 narrow pockets (designed for narrower equipment such as bats and balls) and 2 larger pockets, each of which spans the entire breadth of the organizer.

There is an opening between near the base on 3 of the narrow pockets. This allows you to: (i) access to your balls and other gear from the bottom, not just from the top of the pocket and (ii) quickly secure a piece of equipment (such as a bat or monopod) by bypassing the netting altogether and simply place the equipment straight in the base of the pocket (you will then need to secure the top of the equipment to a nylon loop with a bungee cord.)

I really like the Crawford-Lehigh Rawlings Storage Organizer! It's well-designed, well-made, and versatile. It can be used for sporting equipment (such as baseball bats, hockey sticks, ice axes, and helmets) or for other gear (such as monopods and light stands). It's the solution I've been looking for to get my gear neatly organized!

This seems to be a well-constructed piece that helps keep my sports equipment well-organized and my garage looking good!

One word of warning if you're planning to pair this with the other Rawlings product, the "Horizontal Storage Organizer," note that the rivets are not set up the same--this has three down each side; the horizontal one has four--typical lack of thought. Only important if you can't find wall-studs to mount into and are using furring strips of some similar mounting technique.

Highly recommend.

You find the wall space for this baby, and you will be rewarded plenty of pockets in which to store your sports (or other) equipment.

The recommended mounting is to use 6 screws (provided) through the unit's grommet holes, to attach directly to the wall. The horizontal space between grommets is 16" so you can attach directly to studs. This seems a bit overkill to me, as I am sure wall anchors would be just fine. If you already have hooks in the right places, I do not see why the unit cannot be hung directly from those. But ultimately you will want to pick your mounting technique on anticipated maximum weight you will be storing.

This also comes with two "helmet hooks" and 2 cinch cords. Seems more gimmicky than useful, but time will tell if they come in handy.

For the price this is a good way to add storage capacity.

Perfect for our 3 year old's growing mass of baseball items. Hung it just inside our back door just off the ground and now the 3 year old can retrieve/replace all his gear by himself -- win!!! It's quite sturdy and is HEAVY when loaded up, so definitely use very heavy duty anchors into studs if you can. I can see this thing ripping out of the wall if you don't. Would definitely recommend.
