It's adorable, in a kitten kind of way. It is not, by any means, worth it's original price. This is a $2.50 item at most. It would be good with a lollipop in his hand as a party favor, a game prize, or a stocking stuffer. If you are imagining this as a gift- unless you're a dollar store gift giver-keep looking.
Ernie's arms are some sort of high-powered slap-bracelet mechanism, that close as fast as you can open them. Don't worry he was never big enough to hug you, at best he can hug your wrist. LOL As I look at him I laugh, because he's cute, I just can't help wondering if I got a mini hugger, and there's a bigger one commanding the $12.95 price tag-because this little guy could not have gone for that much. He's ty beanie baby sized.
