I bought this bit to drill dog holes in my newly built work bench. I make my own dogs and a 3/4" hole doesn't work for a 3/4" dog thus requiring much sanding of the dog or reaming the hole. This metric bit provides just enough room to work well with a 3/4" dowel.

The hole is clean and smooth with little blowout at the bottom of the hole (when exiting). I have other Fisch bits and all are of excellent quality and true either on a drill press or handheld.

This drill bit's brad point made it much easier to place it exactly where I needed it. I was installing barrel hinges that require you to be withing a mm for the box lids to open and close properly. When you are making 32 boxes it makes difference to save 5 or 10 minutes each time you're doing the line-up.
