I just finally received the size I needed for these bowling shoes. Originally I ordered a size 8 according to the BSI website instructions (even though I normally wear a size 7.5 sneaker) but when I received the shoes they were at least an inch longer than my foot so I returned them. After following the other reviews here I ordered a 6.5 which is one size smaller than the normal shoes size that I wear. I was very happy with them and they are good quality with brilliant colors and also very modern unlike most other bowling shoes styles. They are not shiny so they do NOT look like clown shoes like other reviewers have said. great shoe, good slide, getting tons of compliments on my game and my shoes :)

Just order a full size smaller than what you wear and you will be happy. no thick socks needed

Great price so bought pair for each. They look great too although fit a little small and not true to size. I returned these and got the next size bigger and all was good, Bought them over summer for the free bowling game each day and my alley charged $3 for shoe hire. They only needed to wear them a just over a week to pay for themselves and have it for future use. NOTE: Amazon's return policy was fantastic and shipped the new shoes out the same day as I filed the return on the website. A+ amazon

I order a 1/2 size smaller and this shoe was too big so I returned and ordered another 1/2 size smaller and with a thick sock the shoe fits fine. I normally wear a size 6 1/2 and this shoe I had to order a size 5 1/2. Still fits a little big but is wearable.

I ordered an 8, which is the same size I normally wear and this fit perfectly. Took a little getting used to, but they are great. We just got new oil on the lanes that I use and while everyone else was sticking, I was sliding perfectly.

These were not slick at all out of the box, which caused me to stick on my first practice ball of league and pretty much took my back out for the night. However, once they got broken in, which just took a little scuffing, they've done great since! A nice inexpensive shoe that's a fun color. I've received a couple compliments from my league. They aren't the quality of the high end shoes, but they are certainly as advertised, so for that I grant four stars. I did order a half size up as I'd read they ran small; they fit well with that adjustment.

I ordered the size 9.5 as I usually wear a 10.5, and that worked fine. Unfortunately, my right heel would slip up with every step. As if the back of the shoes are just too short... I tried tightening the laces and thick socks but nothing worked. They also squeaked horribly!!! Bowling alleys are loud so that might not have driven me as crazy as the heel, but who knows. Had to return. So I lost over $7 in shipping charges, kind of high for a cheap shoe. Will keep looking. Leather is just pretty expensive so I'm kind of disappointed, if that's my alternative for the squeaking.

My love of this product probably has to do with the fact that I don't have to pay for bowling shoe rental anymore, but take note I am NOT any sort of professional bowler so from that standpoint I don't know how these are. For the casual bowler, these are perfect. I'm in my 20's and figured that over the years of occassionally going bowling with friends I will end up saving money by having my own shoes. These are comfortable, maybe a little big though. I ordered a 9 and I usually wear a 9.5. They're not the most stylish shoes... but they're bowling shoes, what do you expect? I'd buy them again!
